Graveside Services for R.A. Duckworth, 73, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 1, 2015 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Pastor Gerald Clark officiating.
Mr. Duckworth passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 in San Angelo. He was born to Jodie and Faye Locklear on June 16, 1941 in Eden, Texas. R.A. was a meat market manager for Lowes Grocery in San Angelo and retired in September 2009. He was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church in Midland, Texas. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. R.A. was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers; Ronnie, Kenneth and Horace "Bunny" Duckworth.
Survivors include his brother, Billy Ray Duckworth; sisters, Wynojoe Ivie and Judy Sheppard; step children, Ann Braxton and Tiffany Cantrell, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Frances V. Green, 78, died May 31, 2015. There will be no services. Arrangements are by Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas G. Green of San Angelo; daughter, Diane Marceau of Albuquerque N.M.; one half-brother; three half-sisters; four grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Robert ”Bobby” Ruiz Garcia, 61, of San Angelo, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 29, 2015. Visitation will begin at 3pm Monday, June 1st with a vigil service at 7pm @ Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am Tuesday, June 2nd at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. 

Bobby was born April 20, 1954, in San Angelo, Texas, to Guadalupe and Ester Garcia. Upon his mother’s death at the age of 2, he was taken in by his paternal aunt, Elvira Garcia, and for the next 37 years, she raised him as her own, teaching him the importance of family and the value of hard work. Many people had a hand in teaching Bobby invaluable lessons that made him the man he was. His daddy taught him how to work on cars. His love of fishing and barbecuing came from many time spent with his uncle, Rudy Garcia. His role model in being a good provider for his family and planning for the future came from his close relationship with his uncle, Reynaldo Garcia. 

Bobby grew up attending St. Mary’s and Sacred Heart Catholic schools. He attended San Angelo Central High School and proudly graduated in the Class of 1972. As a youth & teenager, he was active in the Catholic Youth Organization, served as an altar server & lector at his church, and participated in VICA and the Mexican American Association at his school. He attended San Angelo College and obtained a certificate in bookkeeping. Later, he attended Angelo State University and Howard College and in 2003, he graduated with an Associates Degree in Computer Networking. 

Bobby proudly served his community with involvement in the Southside Lions Club and the American GI Forum for many years. Bobby was a founding member of the Knights of Columbus Chapter at St. Mary’s, served on the parish Finance council and helped with many Jamaicas. 

For over 30 years, Bobby was an appliance repairman for West Texas Utilities and later Coinmach Corporation. While working at WTU, he met the people that would become his lifelong friends. Customers were always happy to see Bobby and relied on the quality of his work . At WTU was where he would meet the love of his life, April. 

His life’s devotion was to his family and his greatest pleasure was becoming a Buelo. Bobby lived surrounded by women, having his wife, 3 daughters, and 7 granddaughters in his life until another male, his one and only grandson, Isaac aka “Gordo” joined the family in July 2014. Wherever Bobby went, he was never a stranger. There was always a nearby friend or extended family member that crossed his path. Even though Bobby was an only child, he had numerous “brothers and sisters” in all of the cousins that he had. The love and support these relationships provided made it evident that he was beloved by his family. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife April, and his granddaughter, Victoria. Survivors include three daughters, Catherine Batla of San Angelo, Amanda Rivero & husband, Javier of Portland, TX, and Bobbi Michelle Garcia of San Angelo; seven grandchildren, Cheyenna, Cyvonna, Gabriella, Isabel, Ileana, Izara, and Isaac; uncle & aunt, Reynaldo & Celia Garcia of San Antonio, TX and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. 

Pallbearers will be Albert Garcia, Cecilio Garcia, Cruz Garza, Raul Hernandez, Chris Mediano, Raymond Pape, Freddie Rangel, and Clifton Stockbridge. Honorary pallbearers are Javier Rivero and grandson, Isaac. 

We wish to thank Dr. Ty Hughston, Dr. Anthony DeMory, and Shannon Dialysis Center for all the wonderful care they provided.

Margarita “Maggie” Elizondo, 88, of San Angelo passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 surrounded by her family. 

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday, June 1, 2015 at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Father Joey Faylona officiating. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home. 

Maggie was born on January 29, 1927 to Francisco and Vicenta (Gonzales) Garcia in Christoval, Texas. She married Willie Elizondo on March 1, 1945 at St. Mary Catholic Church in San Angelo. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was a wonderful sweet lady to all who knew her and will be greatly missed. 

Maggie was preceded in death by her husband Willie, parents Francisco and Vicenta Garcia; sisters, Elena Garcia and Estella Renovato, brothers, Ruben Garcia, Frank Garcia, Lupito Garcia and grandsons Larry Asebedo, Little O(Oscar) Luna and great grandson Jason Chappa. 

Left to cherish her memory is her daughters, Alicia Elizondo of San Angelo; Conseulo Asebedo and her husband George of San Angelo; Rosario Luna and her husband Oscar of San Angelo; Esperanza (Hope) Rodriguez and her husband Albert of Fort Worth; Lucia Rodarte of Corpus Christi; Virginia Flores of San Angelo; son, Roberto Elizondo and his wife Linda of San Angelo; Daniel Elizondo and his wife Laura of San Angelo; 21 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Other family members include her sisters, Celestina Bazan of Fresno, California; Frances Martinez of San Angelo; plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Gabriel Asebedo, Ernest Duran, Eric Duran, Jay Luna, David Rios, and Bobby Rodriguez.

Dorothy Faye "Dottie" Kozelsky, 87, of San Angelo passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 in San Angelo. She was born to the late, Thomas and Famie Garrett Sullivan on February 4, 1928 in San Antonio, Texas. Dottie married the love of her life, Julius Frank Kozelsky in September of 1969 in Ballinger, Texas. He preceded her in death in July of 1992. Dottie was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church of Wall. She was known as a "people person"; one who not only enjoyed spending time with family and friends, but had a gift for making everyone she came in contact with feel at home around her. Dottie's love of life and her giving nature will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Curtis Hahne, and Violet and Dwayne Smith; nieces and nephews, Timmy Hahne, Darrell Oehler, Donna Oehler, and Peggy Wendlock; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gertrude and Oscar Heinrich, Henrietta and Bernie Franke, Irene and Milton Braden, Joe Kozelsky, WWII Private, Henry Kozelsky, Robert Pohl, and Roy Schaefer. 
A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Monday, June 1, 2015 in the Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in the St. Ambrose Catholic Church of Wall with Fr. Joe Choutapalli serving as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery of Wall. Doug Klepac, Henry Klepac, Rick Arrega, Kye Franke, Ray Culak, and Roy Schaefer, Jr will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Culak, Myron Braden, Fred Mueller, and Alex Mueller. 
Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Nathene "Skeeter" and Elmer Oehler; numerous nieces and nephews who were very special to Dottie; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia "Ginny" and Edmund Klepac, Anita Schaefer, Georgie Mae Pohl, and Dorine Kozelsky; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Robert Earl Hayden, 93, of San Angelo, passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 at his home, surrounded by loved ones. He was born to the late, Maurice and Beatrice Smith Hayden on Sunday, January 15, 1922 in Beach Grove, Kentucky . He married the love of his life, Elnora C. Hoelscher on December 25, 1941 in Wall, Texas. The couple was one of the first settlers in the St. Lawrence community where they raised their family. After moving to San Angelo, the couple attended mass each day together. After her passing in 1977, he continued this tradition until which time he was no longer physically able. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and active with the 50 Plus Group. Mr. Hayden served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He worked as a cotton farmer in St. Lawrence for many years, before retiring. Mr. Hayden was a man of congenial nature with a positive outlook and subtle sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; son in law, Ronnie Bubenik; daughter in law, Roxene Hayden; siblings, Bill Hayden, Dennis Hayden, Rita Thompson, and Alvin Hayden. 
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm, Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Johnson's Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, June 1, 2015 in the Holy Angels Catholic Church with John Deniz serving as celebrant. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow with Fr. The life of Frank S. Perkins,92, expired on Thursday, May 28, 2015. Frank was born to Roy and Anna Perkins on May 7, 1923 in Del Rio, Texas. Frank was married to Alta Dora "Doedoe" Hill of Del Rio on January 1, 1947. They were married 67 years. Frank attended public schools in Del Rio where he was active in boxing and playing football for the Del Rio Wildcats. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy, with his friend Bobby Olive, on December 14, 1940. He was in the Pacific during WWII and at Pearl Harbor during the Japanese "sneak attack," December 7, 1941. Frank served aboard three destroyers; USS Ross (563), USS Elliott, and USS MD Anderson (08786). He also participated in troop landings and major sea battles. He was in the Navy for 6 years and remained involved by serving in the Naval Reserve for 37 years. Frank's first career job was working for the Southern Pacific Railroad for 18 months. In 1948, he began his life career with the State of Texas as a Department of Public Safety trooper for 32 ½ years. In 1955, Frank was on the Pistol Team Championship. He and Travis Lane had many programs around the state to exhibit their skills and teach gun safety. At age 90, he was still qualifying to carry a hand gun. Frank was also nominated twice for Trooper of the Year based on the early warning he provided during the Lake View tornado in 1954 and the apprehension of two bank robbers in 1956. His most satisfying work was locating a young girl that was kidnapped at a football game in Mertzon in December 1967. In 1962, Frank was appointed Safety Officer and remained at this job until retirement in 1980. After retiring from DPS, he worked for the Division of Emergency Management for 18 years and worked many disasters throughout the state. Frank's enjoyments were hunting for arrowheads on his father-in-law's ranch, golf, RV travel, sky-diving, hunting deer and turkey, officiating high school football, volunteering for the San Angelo Relays and drinking coffee with his buddies. Some of his favorite stories were of his daughter, Tana; grandson, Taylor; son-in-law, Jerry; and nephews, Ted Luce and Gerald Hill. The "good times" were playing the best pranks during hunting season and seeing who could tell the most exaggerated deer camp story of the years past. He never tired of telling events that happened as a State Trooper or the times he proudly served in the Navy. He always had an interesting story.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Dora; parents, Roy and Anna Perkins; brother, George Perkins, and nephew, John Perkins.
Those left to cherish Frank's memory are his daughter, Tana and husband Jerry Cox of Midland; grandson, Taylor Cox of Midland; nephew, Mark Perkins and wife Janet of El Paso; nieces, Cherie Melius and husband Mike of Pinos Altos, NM; Georgia Perkins of El Paso and many other nieces, nephews, and dear friends.The family extends their appreciation to Hospice of San Angelo for their care and compassion and to Dr. Charles Jones for his guidance. Many, many thanks to our wonderful and caring sitters, nurses and aides for providing trust, safety and making dad feel secure while in their care.

David Wayne "Dave" Steely, 38, of San Angelo went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in San Angelo. Dave was born April 28, 1977 in Landstuhl, Germany to David K. and Della Bryant Steely. He grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming and his family moved to San Angelo in 1992. After graduating from Central High School in 1995, Dave worked numerous positions in various jobs and in the spring of 2000 took over Bob's Wash Service as proprietor along with his father, David, to present day. 
Dave was a loving son, brother, husband, father and friend who devoted his life to his family and friends. He married the love of his life, Dawn Howard on October 14, 2000 and they shared 14 beautiful years together. Out of this loving marriage, came their greatest accomplishment Autumn Elizabeth Steely.
His true passions in life were soccer and golf. From a young age he played soccer and as he got older he played interstate soccer with the Cheyenne Sting. Dave's passion turned to golf. He loved playing every chance he could. Dave loved traveling to Wyoming every year to play in the Wyoming State Open and played at the amateur level for a number of years. He achieved his P.A.T in 2002 being only one of two players to achieve this out of 142 golfers. He decided to declare his professional status in 2007. One of his achievements was winning the Concho Valley Championship at Quicksand Golf course here in San Angelo, with his beloved brother by his side as caddy. 
Dave's passions were only surpassed by the love he had for his family, including his beautiful daughter Autumn who he cherished and loved watching her play soccer. He was as genuine a human being as there is. His love for you was honest coming from a sincere heart and unfailing. His defense of you was fierce -- and unwavering. His trustworthiness was true. His work ethic, faultless. His acceptance of his family was complete. His promise to care for Dawn was steadfast and fulfilled. His fatherhood toward Autumn was impeccable. He was her #1 fan. His attitude caused others around him to feel better about themselves and do better. His encouragement was not flattery but sincere words meant to up lift and support. His life if emulated would instantly cure many of this worlds ills. Our beloved Dave will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
