McShan Sue Karen

Sue Karen Henry was the first child born to Earl Henry and Edna Hanley Henry in Gladewater, TX November 7, 1940.

Sue attended elementary school in Mullin, TX and completed her secondary education in Eldorado, TX. While living in Eldorado she was active in the high school band and was the pianist at East Side Baptist Church. She graduated from San Angelo Business College in 1959 and worked several years as a legal secretary and transcriber for court reporters.

Sue worked from home or part time while her children, Melody and Ricky were young. When the children were older she owned several successful businesses in San Angelo and Ballinger. Sue was a talented homemaker and seamstress who enjoyed decorating her home and making delightful items for her family. She was devoted to her family and adored her first grandchild, Jason Lee. Her pride of her family was evident in her smile and twinkle in her eyes when she would talk about them and the wonderful families they were raising.

Sue is survived by her son Richard (Rick) Rezzlle and wife Mary of Menard; son-in-law Ernest Lee currently in Oklahoma City; sister Jane Flint and husband Bruce of San Angelo; sister Chris Warden of San Angelo; grandson Jason Lee and wife Amanda of San Angelo; granddaughter Lisa Kothman and husband Joe of Menard; great grandchildren Abbey and Ethan Lee, Kallin and Makinley Kothman, plus numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Sue is also survived by her beloved Shelby.

Sue was preceded in death by her daughter Melody Rezzlle Lee, her parents Earl and Edna Henry, her husbands, Thomas Rezzlle and Gary McShan.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 31, at 10 AM at Unity Church of San Angelo. Rev. Janie L. Kelley will officiate.

Steadman Doris

Doris Steadman, 82 of Ira, passed away at her residence on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Funeral service will be 2 PM Friday, July 31, 2015 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Leroy Ochoa officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Services are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Doris was the oldest of five children, born December 29, 1932 on the family farm near Eola to Gaston and Mamie (Edgington) Steadman. She attended San Angelo College and got her BS and Masters in education at the University of Arkansas. Doris dedicated her teaching career to Borden County ISD for more than four decades and always enjoyed keeping up with her former students years after.

Doris was preceded in death by: her parents, brothers Gerald Steadman and Harold Steadman, and Sister Nelda Jenkins.

She is survived by: her sister Mary Jo Lewis of Lubbock and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her honor to the Borden County ISD, POB 95, Gail, Texas 79738.

Titus David Rocco

David Rocco Titus, 24, of San Angelo, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015. Visitation will be Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Johnson's Funeral Home.

He is survived by his mother, Jacqueline Cluney, and father, Ronald Charles Titus; son Daniel Josiah Rodriquez and sister Toni Lynn Zuranski of New York. He is preceded in death by his brother Daniel Charles Titus and his grandparents.

Jack McCorkle Landers

Jack McCorkle Landers passed away on July 26, 2015 at 89 years of age. He was a sixth generation Texan, with grandfathers holding Mexican land grants. His Grandfather, Richard Sparks, organized one of the first Baptist churches in Texas. Jack was born on March 27, 1926 to Jess C. and Marguerite McCorkle in Calliham, Texas. Marguerite died of pneumonia when Jack was 11 years of age and Jess moved the family to San Angelo, Texas where Jack was a lifetime resident. Jess later married Vera Beasley, a much loved step-mother. The Landers family joined First Baptist Church of San Angelo, where Jack was a member for 78 years. 
Jack attended San Angelo High School and was a member of the 1943 state championship football team. He was the last surviving member of that team. He missed his high school graduation ceremony because of WWII US Navy boot camp. After his service in the Navy, he attended Southern Methodist University. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity and graduated in 1951. Later he was recalled to service by the US Air Force and served during the Korean War. An extremely gifted athlete, Jack played fast pitch softball on the US Air Force team and was a pitcher for his semi-pro San Angelo softball league. 
On June 22, 1952, Jack married the love of his life, Jane Campbell, in Nixon, Texas and the couple settled in San Angelo. Jack joined the family business, Landers Automotive Supplies, with his father and brother, Jess Jr. Landers Automotive Supplies expanded to 12 stores in San Angelo, Midland-Odessa and Abilene under his leadership with son John. The family enjoys hearing great stories from the many employees who worked at Landers throughout the years. Jack retired and sold the business in 1998.
While a business owner in San Angelo, he was involved in numerous civic and community organizations and was a proud member of the Downtown Lions club for over 50 years. He was President, Lion of the Year and a Lifetime member. He also was a founder of the Lions Club Rodeo concession and was honored by the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Association with an honorary lifetime membership. For many years he was a member of the award winning Downtown Lions Club bowling team. Jack was also Chairman of the Board of Directors for the West Texas Therapy Center which is now West Texas Rehabilitation Center. 
Golf was one of Jacks favorite sports and he enjoyed many rounds at the San Angelo Country Club. He hit several "hole in one's" and an annual highlight for him was playing in the SACC partnership tournament. 
During his retirement, Jack loved to travel with Jane, he continued playing golf, and maintained a beautiful yard. He often built useful items in his backyard using his creative engineering skills. He also spent many summers at the family lake house in McQueeney, Texas. Jack and Jane were blessed with 63 years of marriage and family memories. 
He is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Jess C. and Marguerite , Step-Mother Vera, Brother Brooks and Brother Jess Jr. Also Custodial daughter, Carolyn Kimbro McNatt and son-in law, Paul Kolb. 
He is survived by his wife, Jane Campbell Landers, Son, John Campbell Landers, and wife Stacey and favorite granddaughter, Lucy of Corpus Christi. Also daughter, Susan Landers Kolb of Ruidoso. Also, custodial daughter, Ann Kimbro Snow and husband Ron. Also Brother-in-law, Dr. Charles Campbell and wife Mary. He was loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Visitation is Friday, July 31, 2015 at Johnsons Funeral Home from 5 to 7 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11 am at First Baptist Church San Angelo with Dr. James Hassell officiating. Burial will be held on Monday, August 3, 2015 at 10 am in Nixon, Texas. Pallbearers for the service are: Jack Couch, Jess Harris, Bill Holmes, Jake Landers, Dennis Little, Richard Mayer, Bradley Miles, Danny Nunez, Layton Palmerton and Buddy Peel and Ron Snow.
Memorials in honor of Mr. Landers may be sent to Meals for the Elderly or First Baptist Church San Angelo building fund or your charity of choice.

Jeanette Francis Rohmfeld Schwartz

Jeanette Francis Rohmfeld Schwartz, 77, went to meet her Lord on Thursday July 23, 2015 peacefully at her residence.

Rosary will be held 7:00pm Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Wall.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with Pastor-Fr. Joseph Choutapalli officiating. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Lawrence Blackburn II, Jimmy Winans, Jordan Hayes, David Rohmfeld, Jeffery Hayes and BJ Wilde.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Little, Johnny Latzel and Tony Wilde and Anthony Santiago, and Cole Cliffton.

Jeanette was born in Ballinger on August 1, 1937 to Ferdinand and Helena (Hoelscher) Rohmfeld. She attended school at Olfen, Texas and later she married Jerome J. Schwartz on June 13, 1955 in Olfen at St. Boniface Church and had three children. 

Jeanette worked at Monarch Tile and retired from Ethicon. One of her biggest accomplishments was obtaining her General Education Development (GED) and getting her Commercial driver's license (CDL) to drive trucks across the 48 states and Canada.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lucille Buxkemper, Ora Mae Latzel, Viola Wilde, Evangeline Sturm, and brother Sylvester “Pete” Rohmfeld. 

She is survived by the father of her children, daughters Clara Schwartz-Blackburn and her husband Lawrence and Ellen Schwartz, son Thomas Schwartz all of San Angelo, sister Ann Marie Schwartz and her husband Alfred of St. Lawrence, brothers Wilbert Rohmfeld and his wife Zita of Levelland, Raymond Rohmfeld and his wife Patsy of Ballinger, Dennis Rohmfeld and his wife Lucille of Ballinger, Ferdinand “Bugs” Rohmfeld and his wife Sylvia of San Antonio, grandchildren Delicia Hayes and her husband Jeff, Lawrence Blackburn II and his wife Rondi, great grandchildren Cole Cliffton, Jordan Hayes, Hayden Blackburn, and Ryann Blackburn all of San Angelo, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Jeanette’s name to your favorite charity.

Ronald Pops Soldano

Ronald “Pops” Soldano, 68, of San Angelo passed away on July 22, 2015 in San Angelo.

Memorial services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, July 28th, 2015 at Southland Baptist Church with Pastor Taylor Sandlin officiating. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Ron was born in San Jose, CA to Charles and Rose Soldano on May 12, 1947. He graduated Lamar High School in San Jose, CA in 1968. He married Margaret Barler on August 9, 1969 in San Angelo, TX. He was a veteran of Vietnam and served in the Air Force for 4 years. He worked as a computer programmer for GTE for 22 years in San Angelo, TX. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, talking about politics, reading books, doing puzzles and spending time with his grandchildren. He won the junior state championship for bowling in 1962.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents. 

Ron is survived by his three brothers and three children. Son; Anthony Soldano of Austin and his wife Lydia and their daughter Mackenzie. Daughter; Sandy Jameson of Wall and her husband Brent and their children Pierce and Auburn. Son; David Soldano of San Angelo and his wife Kassie and their children Andi, Sierra, Hayden, & Beckett. Brothers; Leonard Soldano, Chuck Soldano, & Robert Soldano.

Memorials may be given to Rust Street Ministries or House of Faith.
The family of Ron wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Southland Baptist, Paulann Baptist, & Johnson Street Church of Christ for their love and influence on our Dad’s life.

Esperanza Z. Reyes, 88 of San Angelo passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015. 
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday in the “Remembrance Chapel” of Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North, 1002 N Oakes St. with Pastor Edward Lopez of River City Baptist Church officiating. Mrs. Reyes will be laid to rest in Fairmount Cemetery under the care and direction of Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. L.O. Reyes, her parents Maximino and Micaela Zapata; brothers, Andres Zapata and Manuel Zapata, daughter Maria E. Samaniego and son David Z. Reyes, grandsons Paul Samaniego and Valentine J. Narvaiz. 
Survivors include her sons Lazaro Reyes Jr. and wife Marisa of Ft. Worth, George Reyes and wife Julia of San Angelo. Grandchildren include Alexis Lara daughter of the late David Reyes, George Reyes Jr and wife, Isabel Narvaiz daughter of the late Maria E Samaniego and husband both of San Angelo and grandson Jeremy Reyes and wife of North Carolina. Other survivors include five great-grandchildren.
