Lillie Elizabeth Janca Kuhns, 86, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away March 4, 2020. She was born in San Angelo, Texas on December 10, 1933. She was married to Fred L. Kuhns, Sr. on June 11, 1950. Lillie worked for Ethicon for 26 years. She is survived by her husband Fred L. Kuhns, Sr., son Fred Kuhns, Jr. (Butch) and wife Cheryl, daughters Cathy Sheen and husband Terrell and Brenda Hardin, grandchildren Robert Kuhns, Kimberly Lopez, Winston Sheen, Austin Sheen, Carson Sheen, Lindsay Hardin and Cole Hardin. She is survived by 8 great granddaughters. She is also survived by her sisters Helen Clark, Regina Goetz and Viola Jenkins and brother Joe Janca. She was preceded in death by her brothers Eddie and Albert Janca. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 in Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Settle Henry H.

Henry Herbert Settle passed from this life to the next on March 3, 2020. He was born on March 17, 1927 in Baird, Texas, to Lilly Hampton Settle and S. Ernest Settle. He grew up in Baird and graduated from Baird High School. He married Adilene Harville on May 12, 1945. Shortly after, he entered the United States Army and was assigned to the 902nd Engineering Air Force Headquarters Company. He ranked as a Corporal and served in the Military Police while stationed in Germany. His service was from June 18, 1945 to November 25, 1946. He worked for the U. S. Postal Service as a mail carrier for 25 years. Previously, he was manager of Mac's grocery and a bookkeeper for Town and Country. He was an active member of Reagan County Trailblazers, serving on the board, and he was a member of First Baptist Church, also serving as the treasurer. Henry devoted his life to his Addie for 74 years and to his five children. They were totally involved in the all the activities of their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and traveling. He was known for his beautiful bougainvilleas and for his special wooden objects he gave to his family, friends and for community fundraisers. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and sons Harv Settle and Opie Settle. He is survived by his wife, Adilene, daughter, Linda Lippe (Paul), sons, Larry Settle (Susijac), Carl Settle (Patsy), daughter in laws, Kathy Settle and Nola Bird (Steve). His grandchildren, Josh Settle, Janet Settle, Becca Settle, Jason Settle, Toya Settle-Stracener (Charley), Shelbie McKay (Kalum), Dr. Tyson Lippe, Chase Settle (Bobbi), Dr. Quisto Settle, Sarra Gerard (Larry), and Ted Settle (Miranda). His great grandchildren, Carl Wayne Settle, Auston Worden, Brylee McKay, Brantley McKay, Alli Mendoza, Alex Mendoza, Kayson Settle, Nolan Settle and Aurelia Settle. Pallbearers are Josh Settle, Tyson Lippe, Chase Settle, Quisto Settle, Ted Settle, Charley Stracener, Kalum McKay and Larry Gerard. Memorial donations can be sent to Reagan County Trailblazers, 1205 N. Montana, Big Lake, Texas 76932. A Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, March 7, at First Baptist Church, Big Lake located at 510 E. 7th Street. A private burial will be Sunday, March 8 at 10:00 am at Glen Rest Cemetery in Big Lake.

Webb Jr. Buster Brown

Buster Brown Webb, Jr. was born on October 8, 1937 in San Angelo, TX, To Buster and Gladys (Muckleroy) Webb. He left this world on March 1, 2020. Buster graduated from San Angelo High School in 1956. Shortly thereafter he joined the 46th Armored Division of the Texas National Guard. He was employed by General Telephone Company in San Angelo. Buster began as a draftsman and eventually moved to the computer department when computers were brought online. After 20 years at GTE, he decided he wanted to work outdoors. Buster retired and moved to Lovington, New Mexico, then Midland, Texas, working for John L. Cox Oil Company. During this time, he met and married Sally Mogford on April 29, 2000. After 20 years of service in the oil patch, he retired for a second time. Buster is survived by his wife, Sally Webb of San Angelo; two daughters, Kathy Webb and Stephanie Webb Blackmon, of Temple, TX.; his sons, Tracy Webb and wife Kristi with their children, Ryon Webb, Shea Landry and Case Webb of Houston, TX, and Justin Webb and wife Amy with their daughter, Madeline, of Barnardsville, North Carolina; step-daughter, Margaret Blackmon and her children, Seth Blackmon and Mary Whitfill. He is also survived by one sister, Rena Dee Gaines, of San Angelo, and a brother, Rick Webb and wife Dot, of Austin, TX. Other survivors include one niece, Tonda Gaines of San Angelo, and three nephews, Steve Gaines of Christoval, TX., Hunter Webb of Round Rock, TX., and Damon Webb of Georgetown, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Gladys Webb, and one nephew, John D. Webb. Buster was a member of West Angelo Church of Christ and The Lion's Club. The family would like to thank Brad Grissom with St. Gabriel's hospice for his wonderful care. A memorial service for Buster will be held at 2 PM, Friday, March 6th, 2020, in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel.

David Eugene Cox, 64, passed away at his home on March 3, 2020 around 3:00 AM. David was born August 2, 1955, in San Angelo, Texas. He was a veteran of the US Army. And worked for Goodyear Proving Grounds, Handy Packing, hauled cattle, and worked for Ethicon throughout his life.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia Cox; son Justin Cox; daughter Ashley Cox; brothers Benny (Elaine) Cox and Harvey (Darla) Cox; sisters Breanda (Mike) Moneer and Virginia (Kyle) Alexander; Sister-in-law Sandra Crockett; brother-in-law Conrad (Patricia) Lopez; and many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Harper Funeral Home from 5:00- 7:00pm. The Funeral service is 10:00am, Monday, March 9, 2020 at Harper Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Shane Cox, Darwin Cox, Mike Moneer, Dalton Molotsky, Bryan Lopez, and Daniel Merkel.

Hirt Bernard Charles

Wall, TX – Bernard Charles Hirt, age 88, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord and Savior on March 2, 2020. Bernard was born on February 21, 1932 in Ballinger, Texas. He graduated from San Angelo Central. Bernard married the love of his life, Jeanette Droll, and they were married on September 26, 1954.
Bernard is survived by his wife Jean, daughter Diane Kadlacek (Steven), sons Bruce (Kelley), Mitchell (Stacy), and Mark (Odelia). Bernard is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Alma, siblings Sidney, Daniel, Jeanette, and one son Guy.
Bernard set off to serve his country in the Korean War for the United States Army from April 1953 to July 1954.
A vigil service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 6:00 pm at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. The funeral mass will be Friday, March 6, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Church with Monsignor Larry Droll and Rev. Joseph Choutapalli as celebrants. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Gabriel’s Hospice & Palliative care, and a special thanks to Brad.

Brazeal Donny Lamar

Donny Brazeal, 84, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020, in San Angelo.

Memorial services will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 6, 2020, at the Baptist Retirement Community in the Elsie Gayer Chapel with Chaplain Kevin McSpadden, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Brazeal was born January 20, 1936, in San Angelo. He has been a resident of Santa Barbara County, California, Round Rock, and San Angelo. Donny was a 1955 graduate of San Angelo High School. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during peacetime. Donny married Evelyn Prescott on December 6, 1958, in California. She preceded him in death on December 28, 2017. Donny was a member of the Local 114 Pipe Fitters Union. After Donny retired, he drove school busses for the Round Rock Independent School District. He was a former member of the Santa Barbara Elks Lodge. Donny was formally active in fast pitch softball, and pitching horseshoes, where he was a Texas State Champion.

Survivors include his two daughters, Tamra Dominguez, husband David of Mesquite, Nevada, and Tara Maynes, husband Mike of Redding, California; and his son, Jeffrey Brazeal of Christoval; a brother, Gus Gene Brazeal, wife Walene Tye of Azle; six grandchildren; and several San Angelo family members, Gloria Henderson, Doris Brazeal, Rona Click, and Jo Ann Williams.

Stewart Jerry Dwight

Jerry Dwight Stewart, age 78 of San Angelo died February 23, 2020 at home.

Jerry was born December 3, 1941, in Phoenix, AZ to his parents Oscar and Josephine McAlister Stewart.

He married Barbara Nell Harrison in 1941 for the first time in Old Mexico and to ensure it was legit they married again in Ballinger. Jetty worked in the oil fields and as a welder before starting a job at Goodyear. He worked as a truck driver there for twenty-seven years. After retiring from Goodyear he and Barbara spent about five years traveling all over the country in an RV they bought. He then went to work for Trashway (Republic) and worked for another few years before his health declined.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; a son Alex Askar of Rockport; his step children, Steve Barefoot of San Angelo, Timothy Charles Barefoot and April Barefoot both of Boerne; a half sister Patty of Ohio; a half brother Danny of West Virginia and several grandchildren.

Wilson Walter Andrew

Walter Andrew "Andy" Wilson Jr. went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Andy was born March 12, 1951 in Big Spring, Texas to Andrew and Vivian Wilson. He grew up in Coahoma, Texas. Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Vivian, two sisters Jackie and Carolyn, and his son Michael.

He is survived by his wife Gloria; daughters Jodi Duck and husband Lloyd; Lindsey Huerta and husband Joe; his son Scott Wilson and wife Isabel; his granddaughters Sarah, Emily and Avery; and grandson Russell. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

The family will be having a private burial. Andy is under the care of Johnson's Funeral Home.

James Marion DeLong of San Angelo passed away March 1, 2020 at Regency House. He was born the 21st of October, 1927 in Mertzon, Irion County, Texas to Frances Marion (Frank) and Beulah Mae (McFall) DeLong. He joined the Army for the Korean War and became a Radio Operator in Germany. He was a member of the San Angelo Radio Club as K5LOZ. He married Artie B. McDowell on the 28th of November of 1953 in San Angelo. James worked for Sears for 37 years as a Service Manager in San Angelo, Odessa and Clovis, New Mexico until he retired to Brady, Texas and later moving back to San Angelo. He served on the Board of Directors for Miss Softball America for five years in Midland. James was a Voting Member of the Tom Green County Historical Commission and the Tom Green County Historical Society. He loved being a Member of the Sons of Confederate Tom Green Camp 1613 and loved Irion County and Tom Green County History as he was the last surviving great grandson of the second settler of Tom Green County, George Washington DeLong. James was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and wife Artie in 2014. He is survived by son, Jim DeLong and his wife Carol of Moore, Oklahoma and daughter, Tina DeLong of San Angelo, granddaughter, Amy D’Alessandro and her husband Tony D’Alessandro and grandsons, Chris Jones and Clayton Jones, and two great grandsons, Malachi D’Alessandro and Micah D’Alessandro. A special thanks to Dr. Michael Blanc, all the staff of Regency House and Hospice of San Angelo. Charlotta and Kye Anderson.
