Joe Cullen King, of Brady, passed away on March 17, 2020 at the age of 69. He was born on February 12, 1951 in Kerrville, TX to Cullen Haden and Vivian Lee (Wilkins) King. He had one brother, Paul Ray King, who preceded him in death in 2003.
Joe attended school in Kerrville, TX and graduated from Tivy High School in 1969. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1975. During his time in the Navy, he served in the Vietnam War aboard the USS Coral Sea where he received several commendations including a Navy Unit Commendation and the Vietnam Service Medal. Life after his service took Joe to Sonora, TX, where he started his career in the oil field. There he met the love of his life, Linda Dempsey and her daughter, Kristi. They married on November 19, 1982. Several years later, Joe and his family relocated to Eldorado, TX, where they lived for the next 30 years. Here Joe provided for his family by working as a mechanic and lease operator.
When work did not call, Joe enjoyed traveling to visit family members and exploring new places. Joe was fascinated by history and took the opportunity to learn as much as he could about the people and places he visited. They did not always travel far. Joe's interest in motorcycles and Harley's, to be more specific, allowed him and Linda to travel domestically in style. Upon retirement they settled at Brady Lake in Brady, TX. There they enjoyed lounging together in the shade of a giant oak tree and watching the playful cardinals and hummingbirds come and go. Though life slowed down, Joe never lost his passion for travel. He and Linda frequently visited Ruidoso, NM where they enjoyed the cool mountains. The rest of their time was invested in keeping close to their family.
Joe is survived by his wife, Linda King of Brady, daughter, Kristi Stewart, son-in-law James Stewart, grandsons, Regan and Ryan Stewart all of Keller, TX. He is also survived by his niece Johna Roberts of Luling,TX, his nephew, Chris King of Kerrville, TX, great nieces, Andrea, Katherine, Addison, and Bailey, a great nephew, Cullen, and a great great nephew Paul as well as several cousins and his beloved dogs, Lucy and Max.
Arrangements are by Harper Funeral Home and a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.

Judith Ann Boitet was born on May 26, 1953 and passed away on March 16, 2020.

Felisha Marie Martinez, 40, of San Angelo, Texas, entered into rest on Saturday, March 14, 2020. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 20th, at 6:30pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held in the chapel on Saturday, March 21st at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Felisha was born November 18, 1979, in San Angelo, Texas, to Fernando Martinez and Alicia Cardenas Martinez. Felisha attended Central High School, studied at Howard College and pursued her career at Blue Cross Blue Shield. Felisha was the BEST mother she could be to her children. Everything she worked for and lived for was for them. She was beautiful inside and out and had the biggest heart. She considered everybody her friend and opened her door to any and all. If you wanted to have fun or needed a shoulder to cry on, it was her that you called. She touched so many people’s hearts and proved that love does exist. She was the best mother, daughter, sister and friend and will be dearly missed by all that she touched. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tracy Martinez, grandmother Mary T. Garcia, and grandparents Zaragoza and Maria Cardenas. Lillie Nora (Dorotik) Orsak, loving spouse, sister, mother, Granny, and friend, went to be with the Lord at age 100 on March 16, 2020. Lillie was born on July 1, 1919 to John S. Dorotik and Mary (Hoch) Dorotik. They lived on a farm close to Rowena, Texas. Lillie was the oldest of four children: two brothers, Leroy and Edward Dorotik; and one sister Viola Quirl, all who have preceded her in death. At the age of seventeen, Lillie met the love of her life, Ludwig Emil Orsak. They were married in San Angelo, Texas on November 22, 1937. Lillie and Ludwig made their first home in Wall, Texas and nine years later they moved to Lowake, Texas where they raised their family on a farm. God blessed their union with four daughters, Carol Jean Bailey, Billie Marie Brosig, Dorothy Lea Hart, and Cheryl Joy Hoelscher. They worked hard in the fields with cotton being their primary crop. They also raised sheep and cattle until Ludwig’s death on January 29, 1962. Lillie then moved her family to San Angelo, Texas. She worked at San Angelo schools preparing meals in the school cafeteria, K Mart and M System Food Stores, and at Ethicon where she retired after fourteen years of employment. She loved her life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She was affectionately known as “Granny” to all her grandchildren and their spouses. She was a homemaker, a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and a friend to many. She loved to cook and was best known for her famous turkey and dressing, her homemade kolaches, cookies, and her delicious homemade bread. She enjoyed polka dancing, playing card games, Tarock and Skipbo, and on Sundays, she loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys. Some of her fondest memories were her and Ludwig’s trips to the fishing tank where they spent many happy hours together. Lillie was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ludwig, her parents, a beloved daughter, Dorothy Lea Hart, her brothers, Leroy and Edward Dorotik, sister, Viola Quirl, and her beloved grandson, Eric Brandon Hoelscher. She is survived by her three loving children: Carol Jean Bailey and husband Johnny of San Angelo, Texas; Billie Marie Brosig and husband Donald of San Angelo, Texas; and Cheryl Joy Hoelscher and husband Benedict of Ballinger, Texas. Tom Barley for the monthly mass celebrations and Edleen Buxkemper for the communion and mass service reminders at the Rio Concho Terrace, Encompass Home Health, Sara, Minnie, Betty, and Olga who took such good care of her. We appreciate the comfort and support the HOSA staff gave to her daily and the many friends who brought food, sent flowers and messages of comfort to hold us up during this special time. Charles, 92 years old, was born in a rural farm house in Lavaca County near Shiner, Texas. He entered this world on September 1, 1927, son of Joe and Mary (Schraer) Seidenberger. He departed from his earthly home on March 14, 2020. Because of difficult financial times during the "Great Depression" his parents' lost their farm and home relocating to Runnels County in1929 continuing farming as share croppers. In 1935 the family again relocated to Tom Green County, near the community of Mereta. Charles dropped out of school at a very young age and started working as a cowboy for $1.00 a day. At age 18, when he was drafted into the army during World War II, Charles was earning $3.00 a day on a ranch south of San Angelo. After his discharge from the army, Charles started working in oil field exploration and production. He worked in vast areas of Texas, New Mexico, Utah and Alberta, Canada. He started farming in 1950 near Mereta which was to be his own family's headquarters for 51 years. He also operated ranches in partnership with his family members. He retired from farming in 2001. He was very active in crop insurance since 1980, being a loss Supervisor for Rain and Hail LLC for many years. His assignments covered an area over half of Texas and New Mexico. Having never graduated from high school, Charles obtained his GED in 1970 then enrolled at Angelo State University plus Howard Payne College in Brownwood. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Otellia Anderle, Gertrude Schaefer, Margaret Vicars plus brothers Bennie Seidenberger and Herbert Seidenberger. In addition, preceding him in death was his first wife Dorlee (Fuessel) Seidenberger and second wife Mary Lou (Trelford) Seidenberger. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Stella and Cecil Book (Mereta), Paula and Nick Lange (Barnhart), Lori and Paul Osmanski (San Angelo). Also, step children and their spouses Michelle and Doug Duerksen, Karen and Andy Murray, Angelia and John (Jack) Trelford plus Tim and Shanna Trelford. Charles has one granddaughter, Kayla (Book) Swaner and seven grandsons: Ryan Ellisor, Justin Book, Kyle Book, Shay Wilde, Austin Osmanski, Tyler Wilde and Nolan Osmanski. In addition, Charles has 7 great grandchildren and a special friend Sally Allen. In years past Charles served his community in the following capacities: Board of Directors -Mereta Co-op Gin, Mereta School Board Member, Charter Member Mereta Volunteer Fire Department and Organization Chairman & Charter Member of Mereta Lion's Club. During the "Cold War" days Charles was certified as "Shelter Management Instructor" by Texas Civil Defense. Charles always enjoyed a good game of dominoes including 42 and 88 plus Bingo at his current home at Lyndale Senior Living. His three daughters were the love of his life and his pride and joy. The family would like to thank Dr. Carl Anderton and all the nurses for all their work and dedication to Charles over the years. Family visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-7 P.M. with the funeral at 1 P.M. Friday, both being at Johnson's Funeral Home.

Bertha Isabel Gonzalez, 93, of Victoria, Texas passed away at her home, on March 15, 2020. Bertha Gonzalez was born March 2, 1927, in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. She is survived by her three daughters, Dora Rivera and Mima Gonzalez of Victoria, TX, Beyla Montez and husband Gilbert of Highland Village, TX, and two sons Gama Gonzalez and wife Sylvia of San Angelo, TX, and Luis Gonzalez and wife DeeDee of Austin, TX; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, David Lipchak of Anaheim, CA, and Rodolfo Nunez and wife Adriana of San Antonio, TX, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Fortunato Gonzalez, her father Luis Lipchak of Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mex. and her mother Angela Nunez and stepfather Jose, of Monterrey, Mex., brother Carlos Lipchak of Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mex., Oscar Lipchak of Del Rio, TX, and sister Sylvia Ramirez of Saltillo, Mex. After her father died at a young age, Bertha helped her mom care for her brothers and sisters, which called on her to sacrifice and grow up quickly. She became an elementary school teacher in the state of Sinaloa, Mexico but she received no monetary pay for her work; instead she was paid with food. Her talented singing voice was evident at a young age; she won a city-wide competition in Mazatlan. Later in life, she learned to play the piano in a few short months to assist in the ministry of one of her husband's churches. On January 5, 1943, she married Fortunato Gonzalez of San Miguel, Tenochtitlan, Mexico. She served alongside her husband's pastoral ministry in Mexico and later in the United States as home missionaries. She led a remarkable and significant life as a pastor's wife, daughter, singer, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her own ministry as a pastor's wife was characterized by an emphasis on women's missionary work (La Union Femenil), Bible study, sometimes writing and translating curriculum she used in her teachings. She was also known for her leadership development wherever their ministry took them. Her love for music and her beautiful singing voice was another added gift and talent she brought to the ministry. Her passion for God's Word and church ministry had a lasting impact on many lives. The couple served at churches in Mexico City; Ciudad Acuna, Mexico; Del Rio, TX; Corpus Christi, TX, and in San Angelo, TX. The final 23 years of their ministry was at Primera Iglesia Bautista in San Angelo. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hospice of South Texas.
