Don D. Miller, 99, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, August 4, 2020 in San Angelo. Don was born July 23, 1921 in Henderson County, Texas to Frank and Nettie Tucker Miller. He graduated from San Angelo High School in 1941. Don served his country honorably in the United States Navy during WWII in the Pacific. Before joining the Navy and after his discharge in late 1945, he worked for Central Electric Co. On December 12, 1945 he married Lorraine Konietzko in San Angelo. In late December of 1949 and until June 1, 1950 he attended trade school at Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, MN. Upon his return to Texas he started his own business in commercial refrigeration, heating, and cooling. Don retired from the business in May of 1992. He will be remembered for his hard work, efficiency, honesty, help solving problems for his competitors and his friendliness. Don was a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society and the local Elks Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lorraine, his daughter, Candia Miller Corbell, his brother, Herman Miller and his wife Eppie Miller, his sister, Imogene Doub and her husband Richard Doub and his sister, Catherine Humphrey and her husband M.C. Humphrey. Don is survived by his son, Brian Miller and his wife Mona Miller, of San Angelo; and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Corbell, Matthew Miller and Meredith Miller. The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M., Thursday, August 6, 2020 at Harper Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 7, 2020 at Harper Funeral Home with Mike McCravy officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Chuck Todd, Matthew Miller, Stefan Weiss, Kevin Miller, David Calvert and Joe Allen. The family would like to thank the caregivers at New Haven Assisted Living, St. Gabriels Hospice Care and Staff and Dr. Gary Nussey and his staff members Edna Gomez and Dawn Trevino for all of the loving care and compassion shown to Don.

Janet Ann Korzen passed away shortly before eleven P.M. on Saturday, August 1, 2020, due to renal failure and complications from the coronavirus.

Public viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 9:00 AM Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Allan Eckert, pastor, officiating. Janet was born October 2, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois to parents Elmer and Mary Goldenbogen. On May 21, 1955, Janet married her husband of 55 years, William "Bill" Korzen. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2010. In 1979, the Korzens moved to San Angelo where they became active members of Trinity Lutheran Church. Janet was both a member of Trinity Lutheran’s handbell choir and a volunteer secretary.

Janet is survived by her two daughters, Mitzi Barchet and Kathy Baker and husband Russ all of San Angelo; and three grandsons, Alex Barchet of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ryan Baker, and Robby Baker both of San Angelo. Those who knew Janet will undoubtedly miss her sharp wit, contagious curiosity, and vibrant personality. Even as she grew in age, Janet provided her family with both love and support. She will continue to be a source of admiration and inspiration for all who knew and loved her. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Elanor deRovles, and a niece Jeanie Gillison.

Janet’s family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to the healthcare workers and medical professionals who helped her over the preceding months and years.

Carlos Manuel "Big Los" Galvan, 18, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020, in San Angelo.

Public viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM, with the Rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM Thursday, August 6, 2020, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Mass will be at 10:00 AM Friday, August 7, 2020, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Juan Lopez Cortes, pastor, officiating. Mr. Galvan was born November 7, 2001, in San Angelo. Big Los has been a lifelong resident of San Angelo. He was a 2020 graduate of Premier High School. Big Los had plans to attend UTI Technician Training School in Houston this fall. Big Los loved to fish, listen to music, and spending time with family and friends. He loved his two dogs, Smoke and Ace. He was known for his big heart; he would do anything to help his friends.

Survivors include father, Jose Angel Galvan, Jr. of San Angelo; his mother, Nelva Nidia Galvan of San Angelo; five brothers, Juan Andres Galvan, Miguel Angel Galvan, Levi Jeremyah Hernandez, Jose Angel Galvan, III, and Chris Galvan; maternal grandmother, Petra Renteria; paternal grandmother, Josefina Galvan; maternal aunt, Norma Renteria; three maternal uncles, Isidro Renteria, Hector Renteria, and Fernando Renteria; two paternal aunts, San Juanita Martinez, and Melinda Galvan; two paternal, Tomas Galvan, and Rudy Galvan.

Big Los will be forever loved by his cousins, friends, teachers, his homies, and Gerardo Hernandez.

Lynda Louise Meeks Prater, 80, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister was welcomed to her heavenly home from her residence in San Angelo, Texas surrounded by her loving family. 
A visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm, Monday, August 3, 2020 at Harper Funeral Home. A Celebration of her Life will be 10:00am, Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Braxton Gilbert officiating. Lynda was born January 17, 1940 in Tillman County, Oklahoma. Lynda was one of 18 children born to Joseph Earl and Mallie Ivera Meeks. Lynda was a talented basketball star during her years at Weaver High School. Lynda was an All-Star, All-Area forward and was always noted as a high point forward for her team, which led to many victories. She graduated in 1958. 
Lynda married Bobby Frank Prater on June 15, 1957 in Frederick, Oklahoma. She lived in Fort Stockton from 1968 until 1985. In addition to making a home for her family, she worked in retail sales at a local fabric store and furniture store. She was an active member of Northside Baptist Church and later First Baptist Church. Lynda was always ministering and loving on children, whether it be at church, school or her personal life. She shared her faith in God with all she met. 
In 1985 Bobby and Lynda moved to San Angelo. Lynda continued to love and minister to children by teaching three-year olds at First Baptist Church Montessori for thirteen years and then continuing to share that love by teaching at the Heights Montessori School until she retired in 2005. She had a passion for helping children and their parents reach their greatest potential. 
Lynda was an active member of Glen Meadows Baptist Church. She found joy in serving in the homebound ministry. She loved her Ladies’ Sunday School class and enjoyed Game Day with friends on Wednesdays. 
Lynda is preceded in death by her loving husband, parents, and ten siblings. 
Lynda is survived by a daughter, Jan Petitt (husband, Floyd); son, Johnny Prater (wife, Debra); grandchildren; Cody Rodriguez, Becca Gilbert (husband, Braxton), Tiffany Prater, Matthew Prater, Melissa Petitt Hogg (husband, Cooper), Bryan Petitt (wife, Sidney). She especially enjoyed her great grandchildren - Micaiah, Asher, and Adoniah Gilbert; Jaxton Prater-James; Lily Kate and Gus Hogg; and Preston Petitt. 

She is also survived by siblings Roma Scott, Virginia Allen, Shirley Chisum, Jimmie Meeks, Roberta Perry, Danny Meeks and Rebecca Dugan. She also has many loving nieces and nephews. 
Lynda’s caring, gentle spirit and love for God will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

William (Bill) Howell Proctor passed away on July 31, 2020. He was born January 20, 1924 in Oak Cliff, TX, the second son of Willie Green Proctor and Willie Susie Bass Proctor. Raised in McKinney, TX, Bill graduated from McKinney High School where he participated in football, basketball, track and tennis. He entered Trinity University on a football scholarship, but left school to enter the Coast Guard shortly after the outbreak of WWII. At the time of his death he was the last living survivor of the crew that served on the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Ingham during the war. Following the war, he entered the University of Texas where he met his late wife, Wanda Jean Cox. After their marriage and graduation from UT, they moved to New Jersey where Bill graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary. For a summer they served a native mission congregation in the Territory of Alaska. Following his ordination, he served as pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Ozark, AR and First Presbyterian Church in Athens, TX. Upon leaving the ministry, Bill began a long career in insurance and real estate, opening the first real estate company in Carrollton, TX. For many years he was also a high school football referee and coached his youngest son’s football, baseball, and basketball teams. He also hosted his own sports radio talk show in the mid 1960’s. Throughout his life he remained a loyal Texas-Ex, purveyor of sports trivia, and fan of Baylor women’s basketball. After owning his own insurance business in both Farmers Branch and North Dallas, he eventually became a professor of real estate at Northlake College in Irving, where he taught for over two decades, retiring at age 83. During that same time, he served for several years as pulpit supply for the Presbyterian Church in Canton, TX. Upon retirement he moved to Temple, TX to be near his youngest son, and then moved to Lyndale Assisted Living in San Angelo to be near his oldest son. 
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Loey Preston Proctor. He is survived by his two sons, the Rev. William Preston Proctor and wife, Lanell (Lanee), of San Angelo; Dr. Terry Spencer Proctor, DDS and his wife, Susan, of Temple, TX; four grandchildren, Cora Marie Proctor, Ft. Worth, William Spencer Proctor, San Angelo, Sarah Anne Proctor and David Spencer Proctor, Temple, and niece, Susan Spencer Proctor Wempe and husband Mark, Rockwall. 
There will be a private graveside service at a later date.

Judy Scott Hanks, 73, of Midland passed away on July 27, 2020 in Lubbock, TX. 
Judy was born on January 3, 1947 in Roscoe, TX to Raymond and Oleta McFarland Scott. She grew up with her two sisters, Nelda and Kay. She graduated from Blackwell High School in 1965. After moving to Midland, she met the love of her life, Dan Hudson Hanks, and the two were married in Midland on October 16, 1971. She worked for several years as a secretary for the Department of Public Safety and Midland County. When her son Hudson was born, she knew it was her mission to be a homemaker, which she did wonderfully for the remainder of her life. Judy and Dan were members of Northwestern Baptist Church in Midland. She loved her family, grandchildren, her church, and the word of God. Her greatest joy was loving her Lord Jesus Christ, having accepted His gracious gift of salvation when she was a girl. 
She is preceded in death by her parents. 
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Dan; Son, Hudson Hanks and wife LeAnn; grandchildren, Micayla and Riley Hanks; sisters, Nelda Cranford and family and Kay Kovach and family; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended church family. 
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 31, 2020 at Fairmount Cemetery in San Angelo, Texas. Services will be available to watch live via the Harper Funeral Home Facebook page, which can be found at www.facebook.com/harperfhandcremato…

On Monday, July 27th, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Robert Joseph Hohreiter opened his eyes, gave his wife of 59 years one last kiss and passed away. He was 82 years old and surrounded by his family. 
Robert was born on December 6, 1937 in Bainbridge, New York. He served in the United States Air Force for 22 years and 20 years at Sears Roebuck. 
On March 18, 1961 he married Evelyn Gay Mullins. They raised 3 sons, Rodney, Robert, and Tim and 1 daughter, Kellie.  
Robert loved golf and was given the nickname “Boomer” because of his short stature, but long and powerful drive down the fairway. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, bowling, reading mystery novels, crossword puzzles, a good game of Trivial Pursuit, and bringing joy to his grandchildren. Robert enjoyed learning new things and liked to have a lively conversation. He shared his joy of family by taking countless photos. He started taking selfies before selfie was in the dictionary. 
Robert received a commendation for his superior work serving in the Air Force and he was highly regarded by his supervisors and commanders. He believed in doing everything to the highest standard.  
Robert is survived by his wife, Evelyn Gay Hohreiter, his four children, Rodney and his wife Kathy Hohreiter, Robert Hohreiter, Tim Hohreiter, and Kellie (Hohreiter) Conlon and her husband Frank Conlon, his grandchildren Brian Brosh and his wife Misty, Shane Hohreiter, Samantha King, Johnathan Conlon, Sydney King, Nicholas Conlon, Nathan Hohretier, and his great grandchildren, Gage Brosh, Kaden Brosh, Rylan Brosh, Hagen Hohreiter, and Landen Hohreiter. 
Robert Joseph Hohreiter will have a graveside service with full military honors at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas on August 3rd, at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, you can make a charitable donation to National Wreaths Across America www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/… or consider volunteering on National Wreaths Across America Day on December 19, 2020.

Phyllis Marie Wilson, 82, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family.

Memorial services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, August 1, 2020, at Harris Ave. Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Bush, officiating. Cremation and arrangement are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wilson was born April 14, 1938, in Miles City, Montana to Frank and Mary Marie Merrifield. She grew up in Los Angeles, California, and married Jack Howard in 1958. They had three daughters. Phyllis Marie has been a resident of San Angelo since 1990. Phyllis loved to travel, garden, spend time with family, and attend church activities with friends. She was a devout Christian, and it was her life mission to share Jesus Christ with others.

She was a loving mom, grandmother, and friend to all. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and two sisters.

Survivors include three daughters, Lori Covill and husband Eugene, Julie Elliott and husband David, and Candi Wolfe and husband Gregg all of San Angelo; six grandchildren, Amber Mings, Jenny Londerholm, Reagan Joiner, Trey Covill, Sterling Kelly and Kera Wolfe; and 11 beautiful great grandchildren that made her smile.

Phyllis was loved by everyone and will be truly missed. The family would like to give a special thanks to Mercedes Garza, who took excellent care of Phyllis, and to her dear friends who sat with her these last few months. A special thanks to Kindred Hospice for their loving care.
