It’s finally springtime, and with the spring comes the start of Baseball season. On Thursday, March 30, Major League Baseball begins with Opening Day. 30 different MLB teams will play 15 games throughout the day as the 2023 season begins.
According to Midland Independent School District, Midland Legacy suspended its varsity softball coach Mandy Davis from coaching for two weeks. The Lady Rebels will be without coach Davis for three-games.
The 91st San Angelo Rodeo kicks off this weekend, and with the rodeo, carnival rides fill the San Angelo Fair Grounds. This year the Western Finance Midway & Carnival opens with the Rodeo on Friday, March 31, at 5 p.m.
Two San Angelo High School soccer teams remain in 2023’s Texas UIL Playoffs. On Tuesday, March 28, the San Angelo Central Lady Cats and the No. 23 Lake View Maidens travel to their respective playoff venues to play their matchups in the Area Round.
The 64th Annual San Angelo Relays are in the books, and the San Angelo Central Bobcats performed admirably. Notably, one Bobcat, in particular, stood out amongst the competition.
