Bull Rider Dies From Injuries at Texas Rodeo

 

WHARTON, TX — Wyoming bull rider Dylan Grant was killed Thursday night when he was stepped on at the Wharton County Youth Fair Xtreme Bulls event.

According to reports, Grant was life-flighted to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston, where he was pronounced dead.

Grant, 24, had just debuted on the pro rodeo circuit last year.

He was a state champion at Jackson Hole High School in Wyoming, and he went on to compete at the University of Wyoming.

Grant had already finished in the money twice this year, including a fifth-place showing at the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo in Denver, where he scored an 83.5.
