Wall’s Luke Kemp Signs With Paris Junior College

WALL, TX — Wall High School baseball standout Luke Kemp signed Friday to play at Paris Junior College.

Kemp has been named to the Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A all-state team each of the last two years.

He has a fastball that can hit the mid-90s, and he was also a force at the plate, hitting .468 with 6 home runs, 12 doubles and 2 triples last year.

Kemp was an important part of the Hawks team that reached the state final his sophomore year when he was named the district MVP and threw a one-hitter in the regional quarterfinals.

Kemp finished his sophomore year with a 0.70 ERA and a .511 batting average to earn first-team all-state honors.

Wall was tripped up in the second round of the playoffs last year, but Kemp was still named second-team all-state.

He’ll be joining a Paris Junior College team that went 25-15 last year.
