Mary Alice Barron

Mary Alice Barron, 75, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021, in San Angelo.

Memorial Services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Pastor Edgar Trinidad, pastor of Segunda Iglesia, officiating. Cremation and service is under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mary was born October 7, 1945, in San Angelo where she was a lifelong resident. Mary married Jesse Barron on July 13, 1967, in San Angelo. Mary worked in production at Ethicon for over 20 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of Segunda Iglesia. Mary loved spending time with her family and loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Jesse Barron; two sons, Steven Barron and wife Michelle, and Eric Barron and wife Hope all of San Angelo; four grandchildren, Austin, Aiden, Addison, and Sarah; two brothers, Alfredo Castorena, Jr. of Ohio, and Tony Castorena of San Angelo; two sisters, Rosario Perez and husband Johnny of San Antonio, and Sylvia Castorena of San Angelo. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Alfredo and Isabel Castorena; and a brother, Arturo Castorena.

Vincent Aaron James, Jr., 36, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021, in San Angelo.

Public Viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, June 21, 2021 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Cremation will follow under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. James was born July 17, 1984 if San Angelo. He was a 2002 graduate from Jack C. Hays High School in Buda, Texas. Vincent was a processor at Lone Star Beef. He was a member of the St. Paul AME Church. Vincent loved his family and had a big heart. He had faith in God above and loved God's word. Vincent loved to watch Professional Wrestling. His cousins were as brothers and sisters to him.

Survivors include his mother, Jan Colbert; three daughters, Analisa James, Faith James, and Amiyah James; two sons, Vincent Aaron "Tre" James, III, and Jackson James; a sister Annette Norton; a brother, Abel Michael Colbert; five aunts; three uncles; a special aunt Rosa Garivay. Vincent was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Aaron James, Sr.; and two uncles.

Minnie McGrew, 84, passed away June 4, 2021, in San Angelo.

Public view will be from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM Friday, June 18, 2021, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mrs. McGrew was born June 25, 1956 in Cameron. Minnie moved from Los Anglos, California to various cities in Texas before finally settling in San Angelo in 2019. She was a member of the New Life Missionary Baptist Church. Minnie was well known in her community. She helped all that she could. Minnie was kind and loving person but always said what was on her mind. She loved sitting on her porch enjoying the great outdoors, waving, talking, and praying with her neighbors, and friends. Minnie was a loving mother to seven boys, taking care of her children and home. Minnie loved God and serving in the church. She was a faithful member until her health declined. Minnie loved music, especially Gospel Music. She was a mother figure to many in her community.

She leaves to cherish her memory, four sons, Bobby Wilson and wife Yolanda of California, Ricky Sterling and wife Jhaki of Austin, Victor Sterling of Austin, and Johnny Sterling of San Angelo; seven grandchildren, Keith, Karena, Kameron, Kash, Ayden, Vakeisha, and Davana; nine great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
