Floyd Buddy Kahlig

Floyd "Buddy" Kahlig, 90 of San Angelo, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Family visitation is today from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson's Funeral Home. Graveside service is 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 in Calvary Catholic Cemetery with Fr. Steven Hicks of Sacred Heart Cathedral officiating. 
Buddy was born on August 14, 1925 in Westphalia, Texas to Pius and Eleanora Kahlig. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Buddy was a lifetime farmer. He will be remembered as an easygoing, practical, and simple man who never wanted to impose on anyone. He will be missed.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Olga Hamann and a brother L.J. Kahlig. Survivors include nieces and nephews: Bonnie Hunt (Don), James Kahlig (Norma), and Janet Harwell; and grandnieces and grandnephews: Jerry Hunt, Theresa Pack (Kirk), Carol Hale (David), James Harwell (Shana), Joy Foss, Chassidy Hamilton (Jason), Jacoby Hunt, James and Steven Delamater, and Brianna Harwell, James Harwell, Jr., and Dallas Foss.
The family would like to thank his caretakers Rick and Debbie Garcia for their loving and special care.

Jesse Grantham

Jesse Gayle Grantham, 83, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 15, 2015. Visitation will be held all day Thursday, December 17, 2015 at the funeral home with family present 5:30-7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, December 18, 2015 at Belvedere Memorial Park. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way.
He was born August 1, 1932 to Jesse and Gertrude Grantham in San Angelo, TX. , and moved to Water Valley, TX in 1996. On April 2, 1951, he married the love of his life, Edith Cranford, and was a devoted husband to her for forty-five years.
Jesse worked for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway as a car-man, and was a Building Contractor until his retirement. Jesse Grantham was a life-time member of San Angelo Lodge #570, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. He was a member of Baptist Temple Church of San Angelo.
Jesse loved the outdoors, and teaching the kids to hunt and fish. He loved rebuilding engines, and working on his tractors. In his younger years, he enjoyed raising quarter horses and all sorts of livestock. Jesse never met a stranger. He touched everyone with his infectious laugh, his stories, and his smile that would melt your heart.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Edith on April 21, 1996. Survivors include his son, Jesse Grantham and his wife Pam of Louisiana; his daughter, Janet Wood and husband Trey of Water Valley; one granddaughter, Courtney Wood; and five grandsons, Sterling Grantham, Garrett Wood, Cason Wood, Shannon Grantham, and Austin Grantham. Jesse also had five great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Jesse was a devoted father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be sent to the Railroad Museum of San Angelo and the Sterling County Nursing Home.
The family would like to thank Encompass Home Health, Hospice of San Angelo and the staff at Sterling County Nursing Home for their loving care and support. We would like to give a very special thanks to our dear sister and brother in law Wendy and Rodney Rhodes for their generous time, love and support.

George Russell Till

George “Butch” Till, 63, of Midland, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015 at a Midland Hospital. 

Butch was born on January 24, 1952 to T. J. and Katherine (Kelly) Till in Ozona, TX. He graduated high school at Mertzon and attended ASU. Butch married his lifelong partner, Sharon Edwards on November 20, 1970 in San Angelo. Butch and Sharon lived in Midland, where he worked as a Completions Superintendant for Encana Oil & Gas.
Butch was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish and playing golf while enjoying a cold beverage. He loved spending time with his family, friends and co-workers. Butch will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by parents, T. J. and Katherine Till.

Butch is survived by his loving spouse of 45 years, Sharon Till, daughter, Sherry Haggerton, granddaughter, Kaylie and husband, Brandon Jennings all of Midland, grandson, Kyle Roark of Longmont, CO, granddaughter, Kirstie and husband, Chase Lindsey of Tom Ball, TX, grandson, Colton Roark of Llano, great-grandson, Payton Jennings of Midland, great-granddaughter, Presleigh Lindsey of Tom Ball, TX, brother, James Till of Rock Spring, TX, sister, Jane Stracner of San Angelo, sister, Bobbie Stueler of Junction along with several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 10:00 am at the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel, with Mike Hamilton, officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

Jessie Bell

Jessie Lee Bell went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2015 joining Gene Bell, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage. She was born July 17, 1936 in Tom Green County to Sarah and William Smith. Jessie graduated from Pecos High School in Pecos, Texas in 1954 and shortly thereafter, met and married the love of her life, Gene Bell. By 1959, the Bell household grew with the birth of their two sons, Gary and Mike Bell. Jessie devoted the next 20 years to taking care of her family. When the boys left home, she went to work for the San Angelo State School and then worked for MHMR where she finished her career. Upon her retirement, she took her greatest pleasure in her grandchildren and her church family at Immanuel Baptist. Seven brothers and one sister preceded Jessie in death. One sister, Dorothy Phillips and her husband Clivy of Houston, Texas, and brother-in-law Earl Bell of Destin, Florida survive Jessie. Other family members who mourn her death include: Gary and Cindy Bell and their family of Aaron, Adam, and Kaylah; Mike and Shelly Bell and their family of Erin and Emily, and her husband Ryan Mohr. Jessie also has numerous nieces and nephews and church family that will greatly miss her. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Johnson's Funeral Home. A celebration of Jessie's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2015 at Immanuel Baptist Church with burial to follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
