Barbara Barnett

Barbara Allen Barnett, lovingly called Barb by those who knew her best and Grammy by her grandkids, passed away at the age of 89 in San Angelo, Texas on Friday, the 29th of September with her son, David and her husband, John beside her. 
Barbara was born on August 6, 1928 in Lott, Texas to Verdie Viola Castleberry and Ambrose Landrum Allen. She was the tenth of twelve children and had a close relationship with her siblings. She graduated from Davis High School in Houston before attending Draughons Business College in Houston, where she studied bookkeeping. She had a real passion for working with numbers and made a lifelong career out of it. Shortly after, she met her loving spouse of 62 years, John Lee Barnett, in Houston. Texas. They had two beautiful children together, Beverly and David. Her husband opened House of Chemicals in 1965 and she worked there as a bookkeeper from the very beginning. Barbara loved her family more than anything in this world and was always happiest with family nearby. Her hobbies included reading, entertaining family and friends, being with her children and grandchildren, and being with her husband, John. Her greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother and grandmother to her family who miss her beautiful presence greatly. Her capacity for unconditional love and kindness was a marvel to all who met her and will always be remembered. 
Barbara was survived by: Husband John Lee Barnett; children Beverly & John O’Rear, David & Linda Barnett; grandchildren Mary Katherine, John Mark, Jane Ellen, Josh, Michelle, JonRandy, Miley & Kaeleen, and 5 great-grandchildren. 
The service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo, Texas. Visitation will be held before the service, from 12:00-1:00. Interment will follow immediately after at Lawnhaven Cemetery.

Lola Margaret Bolin, 94 of Humble, Texas and longtime resident of San Angelo passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28, from 5-7 pm at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017, at Johnson's Funeral Home at 10am with graveside to follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Lola was a former member of the Heights Baptist Church and currently First Baptist Church, Humble, Texas. She worked at ASU cafeteria for 36 years. Diane Cantu Canava

Diane Cantu Canava, 60, of San Angelo, passed on September 27, 2017 at Shannon Medical Center. She was born to Albert (Berto) Cantu and Elida Cantu on December 6, 1956. Later, Diane married the love of her life, Robert Canava. She was a warm-hearted woman who loved spending time with her family, and Dancing. Diane also enjoyed decorating her house for every holiday that came around, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church for a number of years. She is preceded in death by her father, Beto Cantu, and her brother, Albert Randal Cantu. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Robert Canava; her children, Michelle Cantu, Rena Lara, and Jonathon Canava; her step-children, Lori Ybarra and husband Robert, Joseph Canava, Anna Canava, and Roberto Canava, Jr. and wife Blanca; her siblings, Roy Cantu and fiancé Hilda Rodriguez, Sonia Pettway and fiancé Leo Baquera; 10 grandchildren, and one great grandchild; special granddaughter, Jaelynn Canava, special grandson, JJ Canava and special nephew, Skyler J. Pettway; best friends, Cindy Castillo, Sylvia Flores and Sylvia Vasquez, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and friends who loved her. A rosary service will be Sunday, October 1, 2017, at 7 PM in the Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM, Monday, October 2, 2017, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial to follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will include Skyler J. Pettway, Alex Urias, Robert Canava, Jr., Robert Ybarra, Jr., Joseph Anthony Canava, Jr., and Markie Espinoza. Mack D. Roller Sr.

Mack D. Roller Sr., slipped into the arms of His Lord, Monday September 25th 2017. Mack was born November 14, 1932 in Garvin County, Oklahoma. He was a devoted husband and father to his family. He was married to Darlene LaMae Roller for 56 years. After graduating from high school, Mack was drafted into the Army and became an artillery instructor. Mack later became a union commercial plumber working on projects throughout Oklahoma. He enjoyed grilling for family events, including Sooner watch… parties and Christmas dinners. He loved making Christmas a magical event for his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mack was quick with his timely wit and humor, even in difficult times. He was faithful, loyal and sacrificial towards his family. He is survived by his children: Mike and Brenda McCarver; Lisa Patrick; Mack and Kris Roller. He is the grandfather of Michael McCarver and Tim McCarver, Justin and Jayme Patrick, Joel and Gabrielle Patrick, Elizabeth Hatton, Bethany and Phillip Kelton, Leah and Jason Walla, Luke and Sommer Roller, Jamin and Carrie Roller, and John-Mark Roller and 12 great grand children. Mack is preceded in death by his wife Darlene Roller, daughter Marla Martin, grandson Jeremy Martin, and Sister Vita Carbo.
A private family service will be held in Dallas, Tx.

Davis "Butch" Daniel Ellis

Davis Daniel Ellis "Butch", 72, of San Angelo, passed away on September 25, 2017. He was born to Dan and Lena Ellis on March 11, 1945. Butch graduated from Central High School and went on to earn his degree at Tarleton State University. He was also a Machinist in the United States Navy. Butch married the love of his life, Linda Foltz Ellis, on May 31st, 1974. He taught as a vocational teacher for 26 years at Lincoln Middle School and Lakeview High School. His favorite hobbies included fishing, construction and racing. Butch is preceded in death by his parents, Lena and Daniel Sherrod Ellis, and daughter Lisa Marie Ellis. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 43 years, Linda Foltz Ellis, son, Daniel Foltz Ellis and wife Wendy; grandson, Joseph Daniel Ellis, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Vendeline "Vendy" P. Wanoreck Foltz age 96, of San Angelo Texas was born in Rowena Texas to Barbara and Frank Wanoreck. She graduated from St. Joseph's Religious School. She was married to Retired Lt. Colonel Gilbert H. Foltz, Sr.. She was a housewife, mother and switch board operator in Rowena Texas. She was a member of SPJST. She was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Wall Tx., Her hobbies included taking care of her grandchildren and her animals.
Her life will forever be remembered by her children, Ronnie Foltz, Barbara McWright and husband Don, Charlotte Foltz Crawford, Linda Ellis and husband Davis, Daughter In-Law, Olga Foltz, her grandchildren, Kimberly, Mickey, Scotty, Trevor, and Kelly Foltz of Califoria, Donnie McWright, David McWright, Tammy Matschek, C J Foltz, Bobby Foltz, K D McGowan, Daniel Ellis, Megan, Jacob and Christopher Crawford, numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her Parents, Husband, Sidter, Rosie Wanoreck, Brother and Sister-In-Law, Laurine Wanoreck and Barbara Wanoreck, Son, Gilbert Foltz Jr., Daughter, Katherine Foltz Vanderman, Grandsons, Douglas McWright and Johnny Foltz, Grand Daughters, Lisa Ellis and Kristi Gracian. A rosary service will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 6:30 P.M. in the chapel Johnson's Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Wall Texas. Elmer Fred Lamb

Elmer Fred Lamb, 87, of San Angelo, Texas passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Fred was born September 9, 1930 in Corsicana, Texas to Elmer Floyd Lamb and Muriel Lavina Merritt Lamb. He graduated from Midland High School, Midland, Texas in 1948. He attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, graduating in 1952 with his degree in Petroleum Engineering. In September of 1952, Fred entered the Unites States Army as a Second Lieutenant. He was subsequently stationed in Korea. Upon his discharge in September of 1954, he began working for Atlantic Oil Company, which later merged and became Atlantic Richfield (ARCO). he worked in Houston, Corpus Christi, and Dallas, Texas and Shreveport, Louisiana. In 1967, Fred transferred to Bakersfield, California and ultimately, retired in 1985. Fred remained in Bakersfield until 2006, at which time, he and his wife, Marilyn, returned to their West Texas roots, moving to San Angelo. In January 2017, Fred moved to Royal Estates, now known as Lyndale. He was extremely appreciative of the care and companionship he enjoyed from the staff and other residents. Fred married Marilyn Belle Ambrose in February of 1950. They were together until Marilyn's death in June of 2007. They are survived by their son, Fred; and daughter, Deborah and her husband, John Taxdahl; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Fred and Marilyn loved camping and fishing. They especially loved the summers they spent in Crescent City, California fishing for salmon. Fred was an excellent mechanic, avid reader and he and Marilyn were known for their love of Chihuahuas: Sandy, Dusty, little Charlie and Charley Brown.

There will a time of visitation from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in the Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 28, 2017 in the Johnson's Funeral Chapel. Interment will be private in the Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and sign the online guestbook at www.johnsons-funeralhome.com . Memorial Donations may be made to St. Labra Indian School, Ashland Montana or your preferred Animal Rescue group. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson's Funeral Home of San Angelo.

Leta Kay Robinson

Leta Kay Robinson, precious daughter of Robert and Kay Robinson went to be with our Lord on Thursday, September 21, 2017 in San Angelo, Texas. She was born February 22, 1978 in Lamesa, Texas. She was a member of Seminole First Baptist Church where she made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized at the age of eight years old. Leta Kay attended Seminole schools and graduated in 1996. She then attended Midland College for a brief time. For several years she was a successful… cosmetic consultant until her illness required her to retire.
Leta Kay fought a complicated and painful illness with courage, determination, and a great faith in God. Although she was very limited in what she could do, her bravery and positive attitude inspired and encouraged many friends and strangers who knew or heard about her.
Among her favorite activities were shopping, baking, gardening, playing with her nephews and niece, playing volleyball, dancing, and rooting for the Baylor Lady Bears basketball team.
Leta Kay had a special friend, her cat Toonkus, whom she rescued and loved for seventeen years. She said if she ever won the lottery, she would buy a soft ice cream machine, a shaved ice machine, a soda fountain, and have an animal rescue.
Leta Kay was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Truett and Oleta Been of Eastland, Texas, and her paternal grandparents Wilbert and Caroline Robinson of Bronx, New York. She is survived by her parents; brother Robbie and wife Lindy of San Angelo; brother Rusty and wife Christie of Centerville; nephews Jantzen, Jaxson, Rush, Coleman, and Cannon; and niece Avery. She is also survived by her uncle and wife Ray and Owana Been of Conroe; cousin, Carol and husband Bill Baker, of Waco; numerous other cousins and countless friends.
The Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 25, 2017 at Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jane Woodward officiating. The Graveside Service will be 3:00 P.M., Monday, September 25, 2017 at Buffalo Gap Cemetery in Tuscola, Texas.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Van Wehmeyer and Dr. David Martincheck of Waco for the care and friendship they gave to Leta Kay for several years. A special thanks is extended also to the staff of Regency House and Kindred Hospice for the loving care and friendship given to our Leta Kay.
Donations may be made to Kindred Hospice in San Angelo, the Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
