Beckham Gwendolyn O'Neill

Gwendolyn O’Neill Beckham was called home to our heavenly Father on September 25, 2020. Gwen was born on May 21, 1926, in Frisco, Texas, the daughter of Matthew Emmett and Alta Reynolds O’Neill, and passed away at the age of 94. 
At an early age the O’Neil family relocated from Frisco to the lower Rio Grande Valley and San Juan, Texas. She received her schooling in the Pharr, San Juan Alamo schools graduating from high school in 1943. She entered the Texas A&I University at Kingsville where she earned a Texas State Teachers Certificate. She was a teacher in the La Batt School District near Floresville, Texas prior to being employed as a bookkeeper with Byrd-Thomas Wholesale Grocery in San Antonio, Texas. 
She married Lewis N. Beckham on September 4, 1955, at the Central Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas. She accompanied her husband on stateside and overseas military assignments in a 41-year career of military and federal service. 
Gwen was a very devoted Christian, always ready to be of service for the Lord. She served as Financial Secretary of the Central Baptist Church, Aurora, Colorado for 10 years as well as a Sunday School teacher, choir member and committee service. 
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters: Gladys Comte and Willie Merle Lawrence, two brothers: Frank O’Neill and M.E. O’Neill. 
She is survived by her son: Neill and his wife Renee Beckham of Wichita Falls, Texas; two granddaughters: Faith and Emily Beckham of Grand Prairie, Texas and one great granddaughter: Natalya Beckham of Grand Prairie, Texas and her brother: Bob O’Neill of San Antonio, Texas. Pallbearers will be friends and family. 
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Friday, October 2, 2020 at Harper Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Ryan Buck officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. 
Family and friends may share condolences and sign the register book at www.harper-funeralhome.com.

Knight Susan Denise

Susan Denise Motl Knight, Our Mother, Grandmother, and beloved friend went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on the morning of September 26, 2020. She was born May 27, 1959 to LeRoy and Mildred Motl. Susan started school in Anchorage, Alaska, did modeling with Barbizon and went to study abroad in Brindisi, Italy. Susan was one of a kind, she loved to hunt, fish, and trap. 
Susan was a loyal friend and a loving mother. She was a free spirit who enjoyed life to the fullest. Her smile was contagious and her wit was unmatched. Susan was all heart and full of compassion, she will be sorely missed. 
Susan is preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Mildred Motl. She is survived by her brother, Les Motl; sons Wesley Dale and James Lee Knight; grandson Kylar Ryan Ribble and granddaughter Jaselyn Jade; countless other friends and relatives; and lifelong friend June Jetton. 
A Visitation for family and friends will be held at Harper Funeral Home on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 6:00-8:00pm. A Celebration of her Life will be 2:00pm, Friday, October 2, 2020 at Harper Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery.

Frank Q. Haines, Sr., 90, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020, in San Angelo.

Public viewing will be from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM Thursday, October 1, 2020, at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, October 2, 2020, at the Christoval Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Dixon officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Haines was born February 8, 1930 in Ballinger. Frank married Ann Boatwright on June 10, 1956 in Ballinger. She preceded him in death on November 26, 2006. He has been resident of Christoval since 1998 moving from Hobbs, New Mexico. While in his 20’s he worked as a logger in Oregon. In his 30’s he worked as a vacuum truck driver in Ballinger and San Angelo. In his 40’s, 50’s and 60’s he worked as a salesman in San Angelo, Monahans and Hobbs. In his 70’s and 80’s he owned and operated South Concho Meter in Christoval. Frank was a member of the Christoval Baptist Church. He was very active in the Masonic Lodge in both Christoval and Eldorado.

Survivors include two sons, Frank Haines, Jr. and wife Brenda of Hobbs and Ronnie Haines of Christoval; three grandsons, Trey Haines and wife Emily and Lee Haines, wife Tara all of Hobbs and Jeffery Haines of San Angelo; four great grandchildren, Mason, Massy, Kennley and Kennedy. Frank was preceded in death by a sister, Lou Haines; and a brother, Ken Haines.
