Irene Rodriguez Nava

Irene Rodriguez Nava, age 85 of San Angelo entered the gates of heaven on November 2, 2020.

Public viewing will be on Friday, November 6, 2020, from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Robert Massie Funeral Home. The family will receive guest on Friday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral Home.

Irene was born in San Angelo on April 14, 1935, to Evaristo and Guadalupe Rodriquez. She married Ramon G. Nava in June 1951.

Irene was a strong woman and family was paramount to her. She was a devoted wife and homemaker, who also loved to cook and garden. She loved her children and delighted in her grandchildren. She only learned to drive after the death of her husband Ramon, in 1990 and it was then she really enjoyed taking her grandchildren here, there and all around.

Irene loved holidays and hosting family dinners, anything to bring her family together brought her great joy.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Gerorgeanne, Roro, St. Gabriel Hospice, and all the staff at Meadow Creek for the loving care shown towards their mother. Your care and compassion will never be forgotten.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; all of her siblings, her husband; and by one son, Johnny Nava.

She is survived by her children, Betty Garcia of Odessa, Bunnie Villarreal and her husband Alex, George Trevino, Lupe Galindo all of San Angelo and by Ramon, Nava Jr of San Antonio; her grandchildren, Blanca Canava, Emiliano Garcia, Jeremi Villarreal, Michael Trevino, David Trevino, Angela Galindo, Amanda Galindo, Christina Barrera, Ruben Vasquez (Yes, we knew Ruben was her favorite), Justin Nava, Jacqulyn Nava and Jessica Nava; and her twelve great grandchildren.
