The Angelo State University Handball Club won three national titles and placed third in the team standings at the recent 72nd U.S. Handball Association (USHA) National Collegiate Championships at the Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland, Oregon.
John Dean, former owner of San Angelo’s Shakey’s Pizza Parlor and a well-known community leader, died on Feb. 22 at the age of 87, according to an obituary published by Harper Funeral Home and Crematory.
