SAN ANGELO, TX — The San Angelo Animal Control officer who was critically injured in a dog attack on November 6, has been discharged from the hospital and is now receiving medical care at home, KTXS12 reported.
We reported earlier that the man sustained multiple injuries, including bite wounds, lacerations, and a broken arm while responding to a call regarding aggressive dogs on Cloud Street.
According to city officials, he was flown to Lubbock for advanced treatment shortly after the attack and had been in stable condition during his hospitalization. His injuries required multiple surgeries.

The incident occurred when he arrived at a property with reports of dogs running at large. Witnesses said two large mixed-breed dogs, reportedly with pit bull characteristics, attacked him after the owner opened a gate. The dogs’ owner later surrendered them to Animal Services, and they were euthanized following local protocols.
According to KTXS12, the city said Bias has been discharged from the hospital and is receiving medical care back in San Angelo.
It was also reported that nearly 10 dogs were on the property.
