Exclusive: Dog Attack Survivor Details Story

SAN ANGELO, TX — San Angelo LIVE! has obtained video footage of the Animal Services officer critically injured in a dog attack on November 6, in which he shares his account of the incident.

The footage, shared by a family member, captures the officer detailing the events surrounding the attack that left him with multiple injuries.

It was reported that the man was flown to Lubbock for treatment, and remains in stable condition, recovering from severe bite wounds, lacerations, and a broken arm. The attack occurred on Cloud Street when Bias responded to reports of multiple aggressive dogs at large. Witnesses reported that two large dogs, described as mixed breeds with pit bull characteristics, broke free and attacked him.

The dogs involved in the attack were surrendered by their owner and subsequently euthanized in accordance with local protocols for incidents of this severity.

The man was reported to be in stable condition by the City of San Angelo.
