ERCOT Issues Weather Watch

SAN ANGELO, TX - ERCOT has issued a Weather Watch for January 6-10 due to a forecast of cold weather across Texas, which could increase electrical demand and reduce energy reserves.

Despite the watch, grid conditions are expected to remain normal, and there is no expectation of an energy emergency.

The Weather Watch serves as an advanced notice of significant weather conditions that could lead to higher electricity usage and lower grid reserves.

Texans are encouraged to monitor real-time grid conditions at ercot.com.

No specific actions are required from residents at this time. However, ERCOT suggests conserving electricity during peak demand periods to help reduce strain on the grid.

Energy-saving tips are available on the TXANS webpage.
