LaVell Ray Ford

LaVell Ford, 47, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, in San Angelo, Texas. 

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

LaVell was born in San Bernardino, California on October 9, 1974, and was a resident of San Angelo, Texas. During his lifetime, LaVell worked for cruise lines, airlines, hotels, convenience stores, and he loved his most recent job at U-Haul.

LaVell will be fondly remembered by his family and friends as being kind, joyful, charismatic, and having a beautiful infectious smile. He was a shining light and if you were Lavell's friend, it was for life. As a military dependent and later on while working in hospitality and travel jobs, LaVell made many friends from all over and he treasured those friendships. 

LaVell is survived by his parents, Bo and Judi Westbrooks of San Angelo; his siblings, Lamont Ford and wife Rachel of North Carolina, Dino Wagner and wife Michelle of San Angelo, Anita Ford of Virginia, Paige Kates and husband Daniel of San Angelo, Carlos Westbrooks of San Angelo; and his grandmother Arlene Ford; as well as 22 nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. LaVell was preceded in death by Suzette Dvordza, James Ford Jr., Janice Walker, Herman and Ada Westbrooks, and Taj Ford.

The family would like to thank you for your prayers and support during this time. There won't be a service for LaVell but we truly appreciate your shared memories, comforting condolences, and gestures of love.

Patricia Ann Whisenant Wallace

Patricia Ann (Whisenant) Wallace, 74, of San Angelo, TX passed away  peacefully Nov. 1, 2021.

Patricia was born on Jan. 5, 1947, in Union Grove, AL to L. D. and Dorothy (Artis) Whisenant. In May of 1967, she married Benjamin Harrison Wallace III and made their home in El Paso, TX for most of their marriage. She retired from the DEA with 30+ years of service in 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son Benjamin Burton Wallace. She is survived by her son, Rodney Alan Herron and Sandra from Sulphur Springs, TX, daughter Cristal (Wallace) Ferguson and husband Daniel from San Angelo, TX, son Thomas Lee Wallace from Brownfield, TX, 6 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 13 great grandchildren and her furry pride and joy Amber. 


Mike McCravy will be officiating the service to celebrate Patricia’s life at 2pm Saturday Nov. 6, 2021, in the Harper Funeral Home Chapel.

Betty Sue Cauley Ford

Betty Sue Cauley Ford passed away peacefully on October 31, 2021. She was born September 20, 1933, to Stella Rawls Cauley and Orvin Estelle Cauley in Wall, Texas. 

Betty Sue graduated from Lake View High School in 1951 and from San Angelo College with an Associate of Arts degree. She married her high school sweetheart and best friend, Wade Laroy Ford, on June 11, 1955. They were married for 61 years. 

Throughout the years, she had been employed by Lone Star Gas Company; KCTV, as executive sales secretary and secretary to the General Manager; Fecher Advertising; and First Financial Bank from which she retired. She was also a member of Lifepoint Baptist Church and the Wool Capital Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wade; one brother, Orville Earl Cauley; and sisters-in-law, Norma Cauley, Betty Butts, and Joyce Ford; and one brother-in-law, CJ Ford. She is survived by her children, Brenda King (Tony) and Stephanie Walden (Chad), and two grandchildren, Lauren Hays (Jacob) and Cole Walden. She is also survived by her siblings: sister Patsy Waren (Bob), brother Leo Cauley (Charlene), brother Lehman Cauley (Roxie), and sister Sandra Bruton (Ronnie); brother-in-law, Don Butts; and several cousins. Betty Sue also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and their spouses, children, and grandchildren as well as many friends, old and new. 

Services will be at Harper Funeral Home on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 2:00 PM followed by graveside service at Lawnhaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cauley family nephews. 

The family would like to thank Kindred Hospice, Visiting Angels, Lindale Senior Living, and New Haven Assisted Living for their compassion and care.

Marilyn Joy Pennington

Marilyn Joy Tharp Pennington was born on August 20, 1935 in San Angelo, Texas to Claudia Balkum Tharp and Thomas J. Tharp, Sr. She grew up in San Angelo attending schools there, San Jacinto Elementary School, San Angelo Junior High (later to be Edison Jr. High) and San Angelo Central High School. She graduated from there in 1953. She attended San Angelo Junior College for one year before leaving school to be married to William Herbert Pennington on October 30, 1954. 


Marilyn and Herb were married for 58 years before Herb passed away on June 12, 2012. 
They had three sons: Herbert Randall Pennington, wife Lisa of Anna, Texas; David Scott Pennington, Bea Pennington of Anna, Texas; James Michael Pennington and wife Carey. 


Grandchildren: Justin David Pennington (who is like the 4th son since they were blessed to raise him), wife Ashley of Tampa, Florida. Sarah Elizabeth Pennington of Tampa, Florida. Preston Pennington, wife Katie of Anna, Texas. Abigail Colleen Pennington of Anna, Texas. Richard Vomero-Pennington, wife Emily of Redlion, Pennsylvania, and Tori Pennington of Tyler, Texas. Great-Grandchildren: Travis Randall Pennington, Colton James Pennington, Kennedy Ann Pennington and Natalie Montgomery. 


Together Marilyn and Herb owned and operated Pennington Custom Draperies in San Angelo and the surrounding areas for 40 plus years. Upon retiring they moved to Rio Concho West Retirement center. Herb suffered a devastating stroke and Marilyn cared for him at home almost 8 years with the help of Justin and other caregivers. 


Marilyn was a member of Lifepoint Baptist Church (previously known as Baptist Temple.) She grew up in church serving as the church pianist for several years and enjoyed teaching Sunday School Classes. In her later years she taught a ladies Sunday School class. Later in life she lead The Senior Adult Ladies Bible Study Group for several years. 


Early in 1986, Marilyn and Herb joined three other couples to found Cornerstone Christian School, 1502 N Jefferson St, San Angelo, TX 76901. In lieu of flowers the family would ask that any donations be made in her name to the school. 


In spring of 2018 she moved to Tyler, Texas into a Senior Adult Retirement Center. In November of 2020 she moved to Anna, Texas and lived with Randy and Lisa surrounded by lots of Family. 


A visitation will be held at Harper Funeral Home on Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A graveside will take place on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo, TX.

Hector Silva Rodriguez

Hector Silva Rodriguez, 65, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 1, 2021, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Crystal Villegas, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Mr. Rodriguez was born February 3, 1956 in Del Rio to Alberto and Olga Rodriguez. He lived the majority of his younger years with his two brothers and five sisters in Menard. Hector then met his best friend and wife Yolanda Balderaz in 1978. They moved Big Lake where they would enjoy living a good life and raising their daughter, Debbie. Hector worked in the oilfield for over 40 years, 15 of those years spent at T. Hill Productions as a Pumper. He would love to come home from work and enjoy listening to his music and drink a "brewski". Hector never went without cheering for his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys.

Survivors include his wife, Yolanda; his daughter, Debbie B. Rodriguez and husband Jason; his mother, Olga Rodriguez; his grandchildren, Dena Fraire and partner Rey Villapando, Jon Fraire and wife Careissy, Ragen D. Fraire, Noah Savoy, Bianca Marquez and partner Hayden; five great grandsons; Dexter A Savoy, Santiago E. Fraire, Draco A Savoy, Ezra Ogle and Deveraux A Savoy; and his 1st great granddaughter to join the family in January of 2022; his brothers and sisters, Albert Rodriguez and wife Sylvia, Ceila Velasquez, Juanita Miranda, Rosa Samiengo and husband Adam, Osbaldo Rodriguez. Olga Morales and husband Mingo, Emma Villanueva and husband Gil; and numerous nieces nephews that he loved dearly. Hector was preceded in death by his father, Alberto Rodriguez; his aunt, Paula Rodriguez; and uncles, Federico Rodriguez, and Alfonzo Rodriguez.

Becky (Roberta Ann Feuge)

On October 26, 2021, Roberta Ann Feuge (known as Becky by friends and colleagues) left this world for a better place, her heavenly home prepared for her by the precious loving hands of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

Becky was at home in her bed with her beloved son Michael by her side when she left this world. Her journey wasn't long as Jesus' angels guided her home. She was 80 years old at the time of her death. 

On August 6, 1941, Becky was born in Haskell, Texas to Robert Dee Busby and Clara Solomon Busby. Becky was the baby of the family as she was welcomed by her loving parents, her brothers RD and Johnny and sisters Sue and Marjie.  

Becky married her beloved Curtiss Max Feuge in 1941. They went on to welcome sons Curtiss Max Feurge Jr. (1963) and Michael Lee Feuge (1967). During her wonderful years with Curtiss, Becky earned her Baccalaureate degree in Elementary Education and then returned to complete her Master’s degree in Elementary Education both from Angelo State University.  

Miss Becky worked as an elementary school teacher for the entirety of her career, eventually retiring from San Angelo Independent School District. 

Becky was a devout Christian and spent her life sharing the news of our Lord with most everyone she met. Most especially with the precious children she taught in Sunday School over the years. She was a long-standing member at Parkside Community Church and considered her church her home and family.  

Becky is survived by her son Michael and his wife Jana, her son Max, grandson Zachery Michael Feuge of San Angelo, granddaughter Sara Nicole Feuge of San Antonio and her first to make her a "Grand"mother Pamela Rebecca Feuge of Austin, her "Honorary Granddaughter" Brooklynn Dendle, her sister Sue Mahood of Abilene, numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and special friends.  

Visitation is Saturday, October 30, 2021, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Harper Funeral Home, 2606 Southland Blvd, San Angelo, Texas 76904.


Memorial Service is to be held November 6, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Parkside Community Church, 3024 Freeland Ave., San Angelo, Texas 76901.
