Layman Kacie

12/20/2013 - 05:36 , by johnb

Kacie Layman crossed over to her new life in the arms of the Lord on December 18, 2013, after courageously battling cancer for the past year. Her bravery was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was 50 years old. Kacie was a precious and loving person who rejoiced in the Lord, and all her family and friends.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 20th, 2013 from 5pm to 7 p.m. at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday December 21st, 2013 at 10:30 am at Johnson's Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Kacie was a member of Glen Meadows Baptist Church. Senior Pastor Mack Roller will officiate.
Kacie graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1981 and received a Degree in Computer Science from Angelo State University in 1985. Following graduation, she went to work as a programmer for Ethicon. She later opened her own computer programming business and developed software for many international Fortune 500 companies.

Kacie was born July 23, 1963, in Brownwood, Texas to Gary and Kay Keeler Pullig. She married Steve Layman on June 30, 1984. From their marriage two wonderful sons were born, Jordan Keeler Layman and Jacob Quin Layman.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Pullig, grandparents, Paul and Wanda Pullig, Guy and Sarah Keeler, and a very special aunt, Edith Long.

She is survived by her husband, Steve and her sons, Jordan and Jacob. She is also survived by her mother, Kay Pullig Rea and step-father, Jack Rea, one sister, Keely Pullig Wolfe and son, J.P. Wolfe, one brother Chris Pullig, his wife Anissa and son Keeler, brother-in-law, Lanny Layman and wife, Joni and daughters, Erin and Haley, stepbrother, Todd Rea and wife Julie and children, Harley, Avery, Tyler and Madison, an aunt and uncle, Cynthia and Jerry Bradley, and cousins Kent and Taryn Bradley, and an honorary aunt and cousin, Janie Walton and Billy Wasson.

The family would like to request, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice of San Angelo who lovingly cared for Kacie during her last two weeks. P.O Box 471
