Eloy Gonzales, 90, of Fort McKavett, passed away on April 13, 2014 in San Angelo. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. in the "Remembrance Chapel" of Gutierrez Funeral Chapels/North. 

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Carolina Gonzales, one daughter Mary E. Gonzales of San Antonio, Tx and a brother Richard Gonzales and wife Toni. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews. 
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Shannon Medical Center for their care and tender loving support.

Jack Clifton McDurmitt was born on October 18, 1925 in San Angelo, Texas to Otis S and Agnes Z McDurmitt. He passed from this life to the next on April 12, 2014. Jack proudly served in the U.S. Navy in 1943 with the Landing Craft Infantry Floatilla – one of only 2 surviving members. After returning from WWII he continued to school at TCU, Southwestern University and received his Architectural degree from Texas Tech University. On Christmas Eve in 1947 he married Mollie Francis Keyes and they shared 46 wonderful years together. They were charter members of St. Lukes United Methodist Church in San Angelo, Texas. Jack worked as an architect in the San Angelo area for his entire career forming a long term partnership with his friend Freddie McDonald. Jack was responsible for designing many city landmarks such as the Village Shopping Center, many hotels, restaurants, and homes. He developed a reputation for his knowledge of building jails and detention centers. Jack was most proud of his work on the expansion of Angelo Community hospital. Jack was a former Shriner and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed sharing these activities with his son,Damon and his grandson, Jody McDurmitt. He was married for the 2nd time in 1996 to Doris Dorrance. They shared many travel adventures before she passed away in 2005. Jack is preceded in death by his first wife Mollie; 2 sons, Dan and David McDurmitt; a grandson Jody McDurmitt; a granddaughter Anna McDurmitt; both his parents; a sister Juanita McDurmitt; his 2nd wife Doris and his brother-in-law Harvey “Bud” Keyes. He is survived by 2 children Diane McDurmitt Lopez and her husband Eli Lopez; son Damon McDurmitt and his wife Donna; 2 granddaughters Jennifer McDurmitt Rusk and her husband Danny and granddaughter Emily M. McDurmitt; a grandson Kris McDurmitt and 3 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Hospice of San Angelo, San Angelo Meals on Wheels or a charity of your choice.

Helen C. Budden, 83 years old, went to be with Jesus, Friday, April 11th surrounded by family and friends. 

Helen was a wonderfully loving person with a sincerely sweet beautiful soul. She had a wicked sense of humor appreciated by others. She was a homemaker until her husband passed away. Then she attended American Commercial College and worked as an office manager for Dr. Robert Cleere. With a servant and volunteer heart she was a member of Aglow International and Lake View Baptist Church. She was a dedicated church member. Through the years she participated in church choir, taught Sunday school, and led the prayer chain. She enjoyed decorating cakes and John Wayne. Her greatest joy was sharing her relationship with Jesus Christ with others. She gave a Bible to anyone who needed one. She won mother of the year in the early nineties. 

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Walter, her son Ken Budden, and her favorite son- in- law, Billy Evans. 
She is survived and loved by her daughter Connie Evans, five grandchildren, Crystal Rodriguez and her husband Anthony, Jason Daly and his wife Shellie, Michael Daly and his wife Lauren, Renee Budden, and Doug Evans and his wife Cyndi, seven great-grandchildren, Jeremyah, Logan, Tyler, Bradyn, Zaria, Rylan, Avery and one special grand dog Fritz. 

Services will be held to celebrate Helen's life at Lake View Baptist Church, 306 E. 39th St, San Angelo, TX 76903 Wednesday April 16th at 10 a.m.

Marvin L. Kantro, age 89, of San Angelo passed away April 11, 2014 in San Angelo, Texas. He was born December 30, 1924 in West Des Moines, Iowa. He lived in San Angelo, TX for 65 years. He met Dorothy Moore in Portland, OR after World War II and they were married in Chicago on February 21, 1946. Shortly thereafter, they moved to San Angelo to live where he could hunt and fish. He began his career with the Goodyear Tire Testing Facility in June 1948 and retired in 1987. In 1952, their only child, Frank L. Kantro, was born. The family moved from their residence on St. John's to their paradise on the shores of Lake Nasworthy where he welcomed friends, family, strangers, and recycled teenagers to the very end.
He served his country in the US Coast Guard during World War II from September 1942 to November 1945. He was a landing barge coxswain and participated in invasions of Okinawa, Iwo Jima, and Tarawa.
Kantro is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Kantro; his son, Frank L. Kantro; his father and stepmother, Frank D. and Ollie Kantro; and mother-in-law Hartie Moore. Survivors include his grandson, Dane Kantro and his wife, Christi, and his great grandchildren, Shelby Nicole, Lyndsey Renee, and Michael Leon all of Temple, TX; sister-in-law, Barbara McCoy, of Abilene and numerous nieces, nephews as well as special friends John Perlowski, Mary Jo Thompson, Bernie Pratt, and Piney Montgomery.
Pallbearers will be Marshal Gray, Rick Canada, David Jenkins, Danny Dean, Victor Niedzwecki, and J.D. Gould. Honorary pallbearer will be John Perlowski.
The family requests that memorials be made to Holy Angels Church Building Fund or their favorite charity.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charles Greenwell officiating. Interment will be held at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens immediately following the mass.

Margo Ann Runkles McNeill, age 64, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 10, 2014. She was born February 19, 1950 in Bryan-College Station, Texas.
She was married in College Station, Texas on February 3, 1978 to Roy Lee McNeill. They were married for 36 years and enjoyed traveling and spending time with their three dogs.
Margo is survived by her husband, Roy McNeill, parents Jack and Betty Runkles, two sisters Marcia Samuelson and husband John; Becky Dunnebacke and husband Bob and one brother Richard Runkles and wife Janet. 
She is also survived by her eight nieces and nephews: Steven Hall, Stacey Bain and husband Kevin, Jeffrey Hall and wife Angela, Leslie Ludy and husband Eric, David Runkles, John Runkles and wife Tasha, Angela Hutchens and husband Chad, and Joseph Dunnebacke and wife Emily. In addition, Margo is survived by 11 great nieces and nephews, which she adored.
Margo's passion was teaching and working with children of all ages. She spent her career as a pre-school teacher. God`s gift to Margo was her love of the many children whose lives were significantly influenced by her faith-guided loving care.Margo treasured her church family at College Hills Baptist Church.Margo and her amazing energy and enthusiasm for life will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends.
Services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at 11:00am at College Hills Baptist Church, 2102 Johnson Street, San Angelo, TX. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.

Maria Del Socorro (Choco) Meza Delgado, 91, of Miles passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 10:00.
She was born January 24, 1923 in Muzquiz, Coah Mexico. She married Zaragoza Meza in 1957 and both moved to Miles in 1971 where they raised four beautiful children. She was a homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, a great friend to all who she met.
She enjoyed visiting with friends, Bible Study and cooking. All her food was made to perfection, from homemade tortillas to chile rellenos to her famous tamales. Her hobbies included sewing, needlepoint, crocheting and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband Zaragoza Meza; grandson Nathan Meza; four brothers and a sister. She was the last surviving sibling of the Delgado family.
Socorro is survived by her four children; Ernesto and Lourdes Meza of Piedras Negras, Coah. Mexico, Roman and Susan Meza; Dora Meza Caniglia and Luis and Adele Meza all of Miles; grandchildren: Dr. Alejandra Meza of Guadalajara, MX, Ernesto Meza Jr. of Monterrey, MX, Drewsilla Meza of Miles; Joshua Caniglia of College Station, TX, Jacob Caniglia of Del Rio, TX, Alisea and Joseph Meza of Miles and many nieces and nephews from Texas and Mexico.
