Casey Lynn Flanagan, 34, passed from this life on Sunday, March 8, 2015.
He is survived by his mother, Ann Coffee, of San Angelo; father & stepmother, Randy & Camille Flanagan, of Robert Lee; sister and husband, April & Mike Nichols of Robert Lee; brother and wife, Cole & Monica Flanagan of Robert Lee; and brother Cade Osterloh, of Spring, Texas. He will also be greatly missed by his nieces and nephew Aubrey Nichols, Zoey Nichols, Bailey Flanagan and Gavin Flanagan.
Casey loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He liked the outdoors and is fishing right now with his granddad in Heaven. He had a generous soul and always gave more to all who knew him.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the funeral home with family present 6-8 pm. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in Robert Lee Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.

Gertrude Mae Scott, 88, of Snyder, died Saturday, March 7, 2015 at her residence. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Visitation and viewing will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at the Robert Lee Baptist Church in Robert Lee, Texas with funeral service to follow at 2:00p.m. Interment will be in the Hayrick Masonic Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Born on January 22, 1927 in Upland, California to Fred and Viola (Calvert) Boan, she married Winford T. Scott on February 23, 1946 in Ontario, California.
Gertrude (Trudy) was a member of First Baptist Church while living in Robert Lee, Texas. She enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching the 4 year old in Sunday school. After moving to Midland, she became a member of Crestview Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and taught a 4 year old Sunday school class. She also served on the Shepherd Staff at Midland Memorial Hospital. Upon arriving in Snyder, she attended First Baptist Church and later Colonial Hill Baptist Church. She was a member of the Senior Adult choir at both churches. She enjoyed attending the Senior Center and was involved in many craft projects along with singing in the Sunshine Choir. One of her many hobbies included corresponding with over 100 pen pals. She loved crocheting, needle pointing and then giving away what she made to others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter-in- law Chris Scott and one brother, George Boan.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Scott and wife Carol of Snyder, Donald Scott of Abilene; and one daughter Susan Wilkins and husband Buck of Killeen; three sisters, Charlene Brown, Doris Stewart and Eloise Twitchell; her grandchildren, Michelle Gotcher and spouse Eric Fonte, Diana Richards and husband Josh and April Scott; her great-grandchildren, Robert Gotcher and wife Jessica, Shelby Ramirez and husband Frank, Laykin Gotcher, Zach, Chris and Emily Richards, Hailey and Mason Fonte; and one great-great granddaughter, Jovi Ramirez.
Memorial contributions may be given in lieu of flowers to the Snyder Food Cupboard in her name.

Ruben C. Alvarado, 47, of San Angelo passed away on March 8, 2015 at his residence.

Viewing will be from 10 am to 8 pm on Friday, March 13th, at Robert Massie Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, March 14th, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel with Bruno Aguilar, officiating, followed by cremation.

Ruben was born on March 7, 1968 in French Camp, CA to Fidel and Frances Gonzales. He graduated from Central High School with the Class of ’87. Ruben worked as a salesman for collision repair with various companies including locally Concho Supply, O’Reilley’s Bumper, Concho Collision, Honda of San Angelo, Centex of Austin and Southwest Bumper Exchange of Austin. Ruben was a faithful Texas Longhorn Fan and will best be remembered for his Hook’em Horn’s gesture. Ruben’s love in life beside the Longhorn’s were first his sons and grandson.

Ruben was preceded in death by his parents, Fidel and Frances Gonzales.

Ruben is survived by his son, Trent Alvarado of San Angelo, son, Isaac Alvarado of San Antonio, grandson, Jude Alvarado of San Angelo, his beloved best friend and girlfriend, Anna Garcia of San Angelo, birth mother, Rose Mary Casares of Wenatchee, WA, sisters, Yolanda Montoya, Linda Montoya, brother, Andy Montoya all of San Francisco, CA, brother, Jesse and wife, Tina Martinez of San Angelo along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the following families for all the love and support shown to the family during this difficult time; the Harvey, Orozco, Morales, Carrasco, Martinez, Estrada and the Vargas families along with too many others to mention.

Gene was born November 15, 1933 in Llano, TX and went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2015 at the age of 81.
A Vigil service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 P.M. at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 12, 2015, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
As a celebration of his life we will wear red in honor of his favorite color.
Gene always had a big smile and lived life to the fullest. He was the greatest Pepo to all his granddaughters and great grandkids. He was a kid at heart himself.
At the early age of 16 he went to work at a boot shop in Llano. He became a very well known boot maker and was featured in several books and magazines. His work was also featured in a traveling boot exhibit that went across the country. He made boots for several celebrities like Tommy Lee Jones, Jerry Jones, Barry Pepper, Colin Powell, Tanya Tucker and several NFL football players. He even made boots for a Saudi Prince.
He married Dolores Robles on November 8, 1952 and they enjoyed a loving life for 62 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.
Gene is survived by his wife Dolores Lopez, daughter Eva Yolanda Echavarria (Jessie) and granddaughters Jessica Echavarria, April Castro, Debbie Echavarria. Daughter Elizabeth Montez (George) and granddaughter Valerie Montez. He also had 5 great grandchildren Daniel Lucero, Diego and Jessie Castro, John Paul and Lilliana Castillo. He is also survived by his sister and brother in law Joyce and Walter Banks and brother in law Bob Stinespring and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the RN's Roy, Dala & Jennifer and aids on 5th floor at Shannon for the great service and support they provided Gene and the family.
