David Montez Jr, age 57, of San Angelo died on December 9, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Public viewing will be on Friday, December 18 from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Robert Massie Funeral Home. A rosary will be at 6:00 PM in the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel.
The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 19 at 10:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Mertzon Cemetery in Mertzon. There will be no procession to the cemetery. 
Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home.

David was born January 30, 1963 in Morton, Texas to his parents, Maria and David Montez Sr. On December 4, 1981 he married Eloisa Tarango. He loved the great outdoors especially fishing and bbq's. David was passionate about Elvis Presley and the golden oldies.

He worked as custodian for about 20 years Mertzon and Wall School Districts and truly enjoyed being surrounded by all the children and watching them grow. 

David was preceded in death by his father, David Montez Sr., a son, Nicholas Joe Montez, and his brother Tommy Lopez.

He is survived by his wife, Eloisa Montez, his children, Erika Montez and her spouse Christopher Esparza, Billy Joe Montez, and David Rocky Montez III; by his siblings, Hector Lopez, Julie Reyes, Paul Montez, Avelina Mendoza, and Ray Montez; by his grandchildren, Carlye Joe, Alyssia Jay and Gabriella Montez; and by many loving nieces and nephews.

Gregorio M. Gutierrez, 66, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020. 
Gregorio was born on November 17, 1954 to Juan and Antonia Gutierrez in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Gregorio came to the United States in 1986 and moved to San Angelo. He started his career as a DJ at KSJT a Spanish Radio Station. He started Triangle productions which gave birth to Conexion Hispana International in 2002 and Conexion Del Rio in 2008. He married Araceli Lara in June 2, 1990 they both had a passion to start a Spanish Newspaper to promote and unite two cultures to educate a new generation. Araceli would like to thank the community of readers, sponsors, and businesses that helped support and grow his passion. His goal was to educate young people to be the leaders of tomorrow. Gregorio emphasized the importance of two languages. Gregorio loved to spread the Gospel. Gregorio was a member of Southgate Church of Christ. His home has and always will be San Angelo. Gregorio was very friendly and visionary for the community. Gregorio loved his family wife, kids, grandkids 
Mr. Gutierrez is survived by his wife of 30 years Araceli Gutierrez; six children Allan Gutierrez and wife Gabriela, Ricardo Gutierrez and wife Michelle, Saul Gutierrez and wife Norma, Juan Gutierrez and wife Silvia, Laura Ibarra and husband Jose, and Rodrigo Gutierrez; 17 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. 
A visitation will be held at Harper Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 16, 2020. A funeral service will be held at Southgate Church of Christ at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 17 with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
