Passenger Jet Careens off Runway in Houston

HOUSTON, TX - Houston currently has a problem as passengers were evacuated from a United Airlines plane Friday morning.

This occurred at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport. The Houston Airport System stated that there was an issue with the landing and that there may have been a leak of some kind.

Information states that the plane was leaving the runway to head to the gate when it went off the pavement and into the grass.

No injuries were reported.

Passengers were evacuated from the plane and taken to the terminal.

Flights heading in and out of Bush were not impacted and the FAA has been notified.

This is the third United incident this week.

On Thursday, a tire reportedly fell off in San Francisco while a plane was leaving.

On Monday, flames could be seen coming from the engine of a flight that took off from Houston. It returned safely.

It was reported that bubble wrap on the airfield got sucked into the engine as the plane was taking off from Houston.
