Medical Emergency Causes 3-Car Crash in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — A driver that was reportedly “swerving all over” Abe Street on Wednesday, before leaving the roadway and hitting two parked vehicles, was apparently suffering a medical emergency.

According to Sergeant John Bouligny with the San Angelo Police Department, officers were dispatched about 2:20 p.m. after a report of a reckless driver southbound on Abe Street.

An officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but the minivan left the roadway and crashed into a parked Jeep Liberty in a driveway in the 1200 block of South Abe Street.

The collision knocked the Jeep into the road, and the minivan continued through a yard before stopping when it slammed into a pickup truck.

The driver of the minivan was the only person involved in the crash. He was reportedly having a medical issue related to diabetes. His condition is unknown.
