SAN ANGELO, TX – Officials with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department confirmed Thursday that they have recovered the body of the man who drowned in Twin Buttes last weekend.
As first reported by San Angelo LIVE!, on Mar. 27 at around 5 p.m., game wardens with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department along with Deputies from the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to Twin Buttes for the report of a drowning victim. TPWD confirmed that around 12:30 p.m. on Mar. 31 the body of Dios Martinez, 47, of Kermit, was recovered near the cage.

The Justice of the Peace is currently on scene to pronounce the body deceased.
TPWD confirmed that they had discovered the body on Mar. 29 but were unable to get a dive team in the water due to weather conditions. Weather conditions also delayed the teams search during initial dragging of the reservoir.
