Police Make Arrest in Fatal Hit-and-Run

 

MIDLAND, TX – A 19-year-old man is behind bars after he was arrested in connection to a fatal hit-and-run on Sunday.

According to the Midland Police Department, 23-year-old Theron Brown was the pedestrian killed in the crash.

The preliminary investigation revealed Brown was walking in the middle of the road when he was struck by a  tungsten gray Mercury Grand Marquis. Brown would succumb to his injuries at a local hospital/

The driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Armando Barba, drove away from the scene of the accident.

Barba was arrested at the Airline Mobile Home Park after authorities received a Crime Stoppers tip.

Barba was charged with two counts: accident involving death, a second-degree felony, and tampering with physical evidence, a third-degree felony.
