A 46-year-old San Angelo woman died of injuries sustained in a car crash at Shannon Medical Center on Thursday, 12 days after she was brought into the hospital with incapacitating injuries.
The crash occurred on Jan. 10 at approximately 9:01 a.m., when Norma Bosch-Suero, driving a maroon 2001 Dodge Ram, was southbound on US 87 at the southeast Loop 306 overpass. Bosch-Suero lost control due to ice on the road and spun out clockwise, entering a broadside skid into the median before rolling over.
Bosch-Suero was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported from the scene to Shannon Medical Center by ambulance with incapacitating injuries.
On Jan. 22, Bosch-Suero succumbed to her injuries at the hospital and died. She was pronounced dead at 10:44 a.m. by Dr. Walter Rustman. Next of kin has been notified.
Conditions on the day of the crash were icy and rainy, the report states, and the overpass was iced over. TxDPS Trooper Alan Dykstra investigated.
