Seatbelt-less Driver Thrown From Pickup in Ice-Induced Rollover

A San Angelo woman is lucky to be alive after she was ejected from her red Dodge 1500 pickup in a rollover crash on an icy U.S. 87 southbound (FM 1232) overpass Saturday morning.

According to the Texas DPS, Norma Bosch-Suero, 46, of San Angelo was headed southbound over the U.S. 87 overpass over the southeast Loop 306 at 9 a.m. this morning when ice caused her to lose control. Her Dodge Ram started to spin counterclockwise, entering a broadside skid into the center median before rolling over.

DPS reports that she was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck.

DPS reports that she suffered incapacitating injuries and was rushed to Shannon Medical Center via ambulance.

Suero was the only occupant of the truck.

Trooper Alan Dykstra was the investigating officer.

All these people that are driving without their seat belts. Putting my seat belt on is so natural I can not imagine not doing it. My parents were saved by lap belts decades ago when we were involved in a horrific accident. I suppose one of the reasons our insurance rates are high is the idiots that don't buckle up.
