Over the weekend Angela West, wife of the gubernatorial candidate Allen West, was arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence. After spending hours detained, Mrs. West took to social media to provide her side of the story.
Sunday morning, back from the Dallas County Jail, Republican gubernatorial candidate Allen West said his wife was a victim of overzealous policing encouraged by a state grant to increase DWI arrests.
