Texas colleges and technical schools will have additional time to apply to participate in the new federal Workforce Pell Grant program after Gov. Greg Abbott announced Friday that the state is extending the application period.
Texas led the nation in job growth during June, adding 43,400 nonfarm jobs and posting the largest employment gain of any state, according to data released Tuesday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
