Lamar Elementary to Raise Money for Children's Miracle Network

Lamar Elementary will be participating in “Champions of Change” beginning Monday, February 10. The campaign will end Friday, February 21. “Champions of Change” is a change canister program for local students. During the two week period, students are encouraged to bring change to donate to Children’s Miracle Network.

Classes will be competing against one another, and class with the highest total will receive a pizza party at their school. The Champions of Change program gives local kids the opportunity to raise money for children they know – classmates, neighbors, and friends.

During lunch on Wednesday, February 12, 94.7 KIXY FM, will host a live remote in the cafeteria of Lamar Elementary. Kylee Fuchs, 2005 Miracle Kid, and Avery Sickels, 2013 Miracle Kid, attend Lamar Elementary.

Funds generated from the event will serve the 16,000 children treated annually at Shannon. Like all Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraisers, 100% of funds raised from the event will help create miracles by funding needed medical equipment, training, and therapy programs for children treated at Shannon Medical Center.
