This week's city council meeting once again turned contentious as the issue of designating San Angelo as a sanctuary city for the unborn continues to be a hot topic for the residents of the city.
H.R. “Winkie” Wardlaw and plaintiffs were awarded $106,063.70 in attorneys fees in their failed effort to sue a San Angelo church, a local gymnastics business, and the City of San Angelo over a zoning dispute.
During the San Angelo City Council meeting held Thursday, September 9th, community members voiced their support for voting to make San Angelo the 38th Sanctuary City for the Unborn in the state.
The federal government is spending your income tax dollars to sue the state government that has to spend your property and sales tax dollars to defend you in that lawsuit.
