SAN ANGELO – San Angelo home builder Rocky Templin Jr. has endorsed Lori Wilson for Tom Green County Commissioner Pct. 4.
Below is Templin's letter endorsing Wilson:
"I am Rocky Templin Jr. I am a local builder, Ridgecrest by Rocky Templin, and currently serve as the vice-president of the Home Builders Association of San Angelo. I am also a husband and father of three very active children. It is through my role as a father that my family became acquainted several years ago with Lori Wilson.
My children are involved in the Tom Green County 4-H Horse Club where Lori serves as a club manager. We have seen how she has brought a business management approach to the operations of the club which have benefited everyone. Club managers are each able to focus on their strength areas for projects, and I believe as a result the club has grown in membership. This means more youth of Tom Green County are able to benefit from the 4-H program.
Lori also was responsible for the return of the Texas A&M University (TAMU) Summer Horsemanship school to Tom Green County. She worked with our local 4-H Horse club members, Texas A&M University, Grogan’s Farm & Ranch, the City of San Angelo, the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Association, local hotels and others to make all the arrangements necessary to host a 2-day horsemanship school that brought in families from across Texas, along with additional revenue to Tom Green County.
Lori has an ability to bring the right people together to make things happen. She has a keen sense of attention to detail and is totally committed to seeing a project through to completion. She is not afraid to get in there and do the hard work herself to bring about a positive benefit for everyone.
I believe these are exactly the skills we need in our county government. Lori Wilson can bring new insight, drive, and focus to help our county with the challenges that lie ahead.
I am giving my endorsement for Tom Green County Commissioner, Precinct 4, to Lori Wilson."
Sincerely,
Rocky Templin, Jr.
