On the South Llano, the Guadalupe bass is the centerpiece of a broad effort involving local communities, riverside landowners, nonprofits and universities, all focused on improving the health of the entire watershed.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will be launching the Monarch Butterfly license plate on June 21 that will raise money to help conserve monarch butterflies and other species.
The program will enable the TPWD Inland Fisheries Division to support habitat and angler access improvement projects led by eligible groups such as local municipalities, water authorities, educational institutions, and other civic and conservation organizations.
