Officers discovered 158 packages containing a total of nearly 1,761 pounds of alleged methamphetamine concealed within the shipment. The methamphetamine had an estimated street value of more than $35.2 million.
McAllen Border Patrol Station (MCS) agents apprehended a group of eight aliens near Mission. Among the group was a male Salvadoran registered sex offender convicted of rape in 2018 and sentenced to three years incarceration.
