Abilene Man Found Guilty of Brutal Murder

ABILENE, TX –– After nearly two years, the suspect in the murder of  Jacob Garcia has been found guilty.

Back in May of 2019, Abilene PD was dispatched to a large fight. When officers arrived at the scene they learned the victim had been shot during the brawl.

Garcia was driven to the hospital in a personal car, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

According to witnesses at the scene, Garcia was shot by y Zachary Noel Morelos.

On Friday, Morelos was found guilty of murder. 

The sentencing phase will begin on Monday.
