Text Message Lands San Angelo Man in Jail for Lewd Abuse of Child

SAN ANGELO, TX — A San Angelo man has been arrested after text messages revealed the possible sexual assault of a child.

Miguel Galvan, 40, of San Angelo, has been arrested by the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office for sexual assault of a child that allegedly took place on June 6, 2025.

According to court documents that are based on an investigative report completed by a San Angelo police officer, the child victim was taken to San Antonio, Texas, by an adult family member following an outcry of sexual assault. The outcry witness notified the San Angelo Police Department upon learning the child had been assaulted.
