Texas Man Arrested After Chasing Two Young Girls, Asking For A Diaper Change

SMITH COUNTY, TX — A Texas man has been arrested after allegedly approaching young girls near an elementary school while wearing only a diaper and a pacifier around his neck.

According to a police affidavit, two young girls were riding their bikes and scooters through their neighborhood on Thursday when they noticed a silver vehicle following them and stopping whenever they did. As they headed home, they saw the vehicle again—this time parked in the lot of Andy Woods Elementary School in Tyler, TX.

Inside the vehicle was 45-year-old Wesley Worl. The girls reported that Worl exited the vehicle wearing only a diaper, then shouted, “Goo goo ga ga, I need a diaper change.”

Frightened, the girls fled sown the street to a nearby home, where a man and his son worked in the garage. The girls were so panicked they fell and skinned their knees, telling the man a "scary man" had been chasing them.

While the man’s son went out in search of the vehicle, a woman from the household helped calm the visibly shaken and terrified girls. During this time, the girls told her the man had also asked, “Will you change my diaper for me?”

Authorities later identified Worl as the suspect and arrested him at his workplace. He is now facing multiple charges, including criminal solicitation of a minor and criminal trespass. This incident is the latest in a long history of disturbing behavior.

Worl’s past encounters with law enforcement span over two decades:

  • 1999: Seen watching children at a daycare; told police he was changing his diaper.

  • 2002: Caught peeking into apartment windows; admitted to watching small children at a daycare.

  • 2005: Arrested for stalking an ex-girlfriend; sentenced to five years’ probation.

  • August 2005: Observed watching a woman at a pool; issued a criminal trespass warning.

  • November 2005: Spotted watching children from behind a tree; received another trespass warning.

  • 2006: Reported for walking around a Walmart with his hand in his shorts, claiming he was checking if he had soiled his diaper; later prosecuted and sentenced to seven years in prison.

  • 2012: Accused of exposing himself to a child at a Walmart, though he denied it and claimed he only showed his diaper; issued another trespass warning.

  • 2016: Arrested for criminal trespass at Faulkner Park.

  • July 2025: Caught on surveillance visiting Walmart multiple times; the store’s manager has requested criminal charges be filed.

Worl remains in custody as the investigation continues.
