95 Indicted in April: Man sexually Assaults Minor Under 10 Years of Age

SAN ANGELO, TEXAS – The grand jury met for two days this month, on April 4 and 5, at the Tom Green County Courthouse, where 95 people were indicted on a variety of offenses, including possession of drugs, sexual assault of a child, property theft, assault of family members, and more.

Out of the 95 people indicted, here are the more noteworthy indictments.

Continual Sexual Abuse of Child Victim Under 6

Among the 95 people indicted was an Antonio SanJuan. SanJuan, 61, has been charged with three different charges, they are as follows – Aggravated Assault Child, Indecency w/Chid Sexual Contact, and Indecency w/a Child Exposes. LIVE! previously reported on SanJuan and according to court documents, SanJuan forced a female’s, 6, sexual organ to contact his mouth.

After marrying the mother of the said child in mid-2016, SanJuan began touching and kissing the genital area of the minor. Furthermore, SanJuan would touch and undress the minor on a daily basis when the mother was not around.

The mother of the minor discovered SanJuan’s activities with her daughter, after the daughter complained about “feeling pain”. SanJuan denied knowing the reason why, but after thorough investigation, probable cause pointed to SanJuan. SanJuan is scheduled for trial later this year.

 Online Solicitation of a Minor

In another indictment on May 5, Howard Alexander Plumley, 29, faces a charge for Online Solicitation of a Minor, a third degree felony. LIVE! reported on Plumley in early March after he was arrested and booked into the Tom Green County Jail. At the time, Public Information Officer Tracy Gonzalez said, “throughout February, Street Crimes Division (SCD) established electronic communication with one potential suspect, which resulted in the exchange of illicit photographs and comments with a victim who was being portrayed as a minor child.”

Earlier this year, Plumely responded to a craigslist ad and struck a conversation with a “15-year-old female.” After conversing with the young female for several weeks, Plumley began sending and asking for various pictures. Plumley then began speaking with the young female in a sexual nature and vividly describing sexual desires with the female.

Soon thereafter Plumley asked to meet up to eventually engage in sexual intercourse. Both SCD detctives, who were posing as the young female, and Plumley decided to meet in the San Angelo Community Medical Center parking lot.

There, Gonzalez added,  “[Plumley] was met by SCD detectives who ultimately took him into custody without incident.”

Plumley is set to begin trial later this year.

Armed Burglary

In the second week of February, David Szymkowiak, Ashley Lynette Salinas, Noe Galindo Guerra, Jr., and Sierra Monique Ramos, entered a house in the 500 block of E. 25th Street. There, armed with rifles, the intruders ordered the inhabitants of the house to “get on the ground.”

However, two of the victims charged Guerra in an attempt to protect themselves from harm. Szymkowiak then continued to strike one of the victims with a handgun on the head. Szymkowiak, Salinas, Guerra, and Ramos were all indicted on an adult felony charge of Burglary Habitation Intend Other Felony. Szymkowiak was also charged with Possession CS PG 1<1G, another adult felony.

All four are scheduled for trial later this year.

Accident Involving Injury

Andres Antu, 29, was also indicted on May 5. Antu is charged with Accident Involving Injury. At the end of last year, Antu was involved in a hit and run accident. According to court documents, Antu said that after arguing with a female and male, Antu took off in a vehicle. However, Antu decided to return to the location of the female and the male, where Antu said the male stepped in front of his car.

Antu is scheduled for trial later this year.
