Coleman Police Searching for Fugitive After Foot Chase

COLEMAN, TX — Law enforcement agencies are searching for a Coleman man who evaded arrest on foot Thursday afternoon, prompting warnings for residents to stay alert.

Police identified the fugitive as Robert Mack Walters, 44, who is wanted on multiple warrants, including injury to an elderly individual family member, a third-degree felony, and terroristic threat of a family member, a Class B misdemeanor. Authorities said additional charges are pending.

Walters is described as a white male, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing around 150 pounds, with a shaved head, green eyes, and numerous tattoos, including his last name tattooed on his chest. He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, ball cap, blue jeans, and boots.

According to police, Walters fled on foot when officers attempted to take him into custody. Officials urged citizens not to approach him, warning that Walters is considered dangerous.

Anyone who sees Walters is asked to call 911 immediately, stay on the line with dispatchers, and provide details about his description, location, and direction of travel until law enforcement arrives.

Authorities also encouraged residents to secure vehicles, remove valuables, and lock homes, businesses, and outbuildings as a precaution.
