Woman Dead after Fatal Crash in Abilene over Weekend

 

ABILENE, TX— A fatal crash in Abilene left one woman deceased over the weekend.

In information released by the Abilene Police Department, on Saturday, May 18, 2024, around 12:15 pm., Abilene Police responded to a multi-vehicle crash in the 3200 block of South Danville Street.

A 2000 Honda Accord, driven by Nicole Nash, 58, was northbound when a vehicle left the roadway at the onramp to Winter’s Freeway.

Nash’s vehicle traveled through the grassy area and sideswiped a 2023 GMC Yukon, and Nash’s vehicle continued north along Danville striking a second vehicle, a 2015 Audi.

Nash’s vehicle came to rest on the east side of Danville.

Her next of kid has been notified as Ms. Nash was pronounced deceased by a Justice of the Peace. Her body will be sent to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. No other injuries were reported from the crash.

This is an ongoing investigation.
