Bylsma said that the Corolla was westbound on Knickerbocker, turning left onto Western Ct. Meanwhile there was a Chevrolet Silverado pickup towing a trailer in the Corolla’s path. The Corolla hit the Silverado. In succession, the Silverado hit a Nissan that was on Western Ct. waiting to turn onto Knickerbocker.

The Silverado and the Nissan smashed into a utility pole and a Verizon telecommunication pedestal.
The driver of the Corolla was taken to the hospital via private vehicle. Bylsma said the Corolla driver was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way. The Silverado driver was operating his vehicle with a suspended license and was cited too. The Nissan driver was a victim of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

I think when someone causes an accident, the citation should reflect that. Failure to yield and "causing accident" should be the charge and fines triple. I think if someone got a citation like that at a fine of 1200-2200 dollars, they may, and I say may, learn how to drive....but In this town I doubt it, so never mind.
