San Angelo Man Arrested After Botched Murder Attempt

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A San Angelo man was arrested on Saturday after he attempted to kill another man sitting in his car.

According to court documents, on Oct. 16, officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the 1200 block of E. 19th St. for the report of an unknown problem.

When they arrived, the officers met with a man outside of his home who claimed that he had just been assaulted.

The victim told police that as he arrived to his home an unknown male got inside of his vehicle and attempted to stab him. The victim then got out of the vehicle and ran into his home.

The man followed him inside but the victim was able to escape as police arrived. Officers then entered the home and found the suspect hiding in one of the bedrooms. The knife was lying was on the kitchen table.

He was then detained and identified as Arnulfo Arreola, 22, of San Angelo. While he was being taken to the patrol vehicle the victim confirmed Arreola was the one who attempted to kill him.

Arreola was then booked into the Tom Green County Detention Facility on Oct. 16 at 9:32 p.m. He remains in the jail on a $50,000 bond.
