Monday Night Bank Crash Investigated as DWI

Christopher Doty, 21, who was driving the late-model GMC pickup that crashed through Concho Educators Federal Credit Union Monday night, is being investigated as a possible DWI, police say.

Doty and his 19-year-old male passenger were traveling southwest on Loop 306 at around 8:50 p.m. yesterday when they veered off the road and ultimately crashed into the bank. Both were transported to the hospital, where they remain, however the extent of their injuries is unknown.

SAPD Public Information Officer Brian Robinson stated that due to the injuries at the scene of the crash, officers could not administer a field sobriety test. Instead, blood was drawn and sent off to a lab for testing. It could take up to two weeks before the results are in, he said.

The damage to the bank building was extensive, however the wall Doty crashed through was determined not to be a load-bearing wall by firemen on scene. Last night, construction engineers were examining blueprints to confirm that the building still has structural integrity.

Well, he got what he wanted... https://www.facebook.com/chris.doty.77
I'm waiting for: 1) A close friend to chime in how this was just an accident and that we don't know the facts 2) A family member to chime in and remind us that we all make mistakes and that we should be allowed second chances 3) Two commentators (JD and Favian, for example) to go at each other's throats (no disrespect, just an observation) 4) A lot of commentary on how the laws need to be better enforced; the youth of today are terrible; old people are better drivers; it was a result of the oil field; we need to be more responsible for our water usage... 5) A correction on the grammar or spelling of the article Did I miss anything?
Lol, great prediction:-) And yes you did forget something. Me reminding Lisa Carlisle that I can make a Grape Creek connection to most articles on here having to do with trespassing, pot use, or DWIs and car accidents. Currently, my "they hate me" column only includes JD and Lisa. I hope to increase it exponentially by summer's end.
How did I know there a possible Grape Creek connection? It's just amazing.....
Well, that was a given. I mean obviously this is related to Grape Creek in some manner! ;-)
Your comment is on a very thin line, one could think you are implying there may be a large criminal element in Grape Creek, not all people of Grape Creek, but at least enough to begin of pattern of consistent unlawful behavior by a select population. Is that what you are implying? Because if you are Mister, well you are completely wrong, how dare you? Tarnishing the reputation of a fine and polished community with lies and false assumptions...:-)
I better not take sides on this one. It won't be too long before people start questioning my credibility (do I even have any?) And now for a recipe (oddly enough, from Grape Creek Vineyards!): Avocado Salsa 1 Avocado 3 Tablespoons Coriander -- chopped fresh 1/2 Cup Water 3/4 Teaspoon Tabasco sauce 1/2 Teaspoon Vinegar 1 Teaspoon Soy sauce -- low sodium
JD and Favian comment on everything posted here thinking they got the answers. Both need to get a life other than being on here constantly.

If I throw out a big FU to all my haters? How you gonna attack me when I haven't made a comment on here in over 24 hours?
No hatin' here JD! Keep on speaking brother...errr, sister? Between you, Flavor Favian and others, the conversations are worth hearing!
Telling people to quit giving their opinions or rants on a section specific designated for rants or comments is like inviting someone to lunch and then telling them to not eat. How boring it would be if we didn't comment (pointless rants included) on anything? It is good for getting ones blood pumping:-) Worse yet, it would be completely boring if we all held the same opinion!
I have watched enough Judge Judy shows. Doesn't matter what anyone thinks, when the blood tests get back, all will be known (surprising it will take two weeks). But, if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and walks like a duck, it might be a duck. If something like alcohol or something else wasn't involved, a very serious medical problem, or mental problem might need to be addressed. Of course, eliminating all mechanical problems. Regardless, it will all eventually come out. Just my thoughts.
And to think...someday this slack-jawed, alcoholic drone may be in charge of flipping someone's hamburger patty, or properly returning someone's trashcans to their holders after emptying them. Not very reassuring.
Nice avatar JD! But, I can't for the life of me figure out what it is you're saying... ;-)
