SONORA, TX – The Sutton County Sheriff's Office arrested several illegal aliens over the weekend as the invasion continues.
According to the SCSO, on May 21 at around 1:45pm, a DPS Trooper initiated a traffic stop on a white Ford pickup on S Hwy 277 near the Pilot.
This led to a bailout of 6 total individuals. With the help of Sutton County Sheriff's Office, Sonora Police Department, other DPS Troopers, and Border Patrol, five were apprehended. One female remains at large, last seen wearing camo pants and a black top.
Later that day, at around 6:45 p.m., a Sutton County Sheriff's Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a grey Ford pickup just South of the city limits on S Hwy 277.
This stop resulted in the apprehension of three female illegal aliens who were turned over to Border Patrol and the arrest of one female.
Over the past few months Sutton County County has seen a surge in illegal aliens coming to the Concho Valley from the Mexico border. The SCSO to always remain vigilant, lock your doors and vehicles, and report suspicious activity to the Sheriff's Office at 325-387-2288.
