Councilwoman Billie DeWitt Wants to Lower the Tax Rate, Part 1 of 5
SAN ANGELO, TX — Councilwoman Billie DeWitt talks about her background as a human resources manager at Ethicon and why she was motivated to get into city politics. She said she was engaged on an issue involving the current City Manager Daniel Valenzuela. She wanted to support him right after he was hired and came under fire.
DeWitt represents Single Member District 6, or SMD 6, that includes Southland, The Bluffs, and portions of College Hills.
In the first of three videos, Ms. DeWitt talks taxes and spending. DeWitt lays out where the pressures are to raise taxes and increase spending, including dealing with the much needed street repairs.
DeWitt is up for re-election for a second 4-year term on May 1. Early voting is ongoing April 19-23, 2021.
Eventually, DeWitt said she wants to lower the City of San Angelo tax rate, but not in this video. That is in video 2 or 3 of this series. Watch the interview part 1 of 3 above.

Odd how Gunter gets three and she gets five videos. You talk all this crap against them Joe, but in person you let them say what they want. How much do they pay you? They have the money since just the realtors gave them $5,000 each which they normally give small amounts. To which Gunter oddly enough took out a loan of $15,000 despite having almost $20,000 from the last one, while reporting a fraction being spent. Same for Dewitt spending supposedly only $600+ out of $6,000+ news money and almost $1,500 reported previously.
