Cooper's Bar-B-Q Concerts Approved, Shutdown Order Rescinded

SAN ANGELO, TX — “Coopers Barbecue in Christoval Texas submitted application for outdoor activities including live music that has been approved by TGC Local Health Authority, Dr.James Vretis and Judge Steve Floyd pursuant to CDC guidelines.   The implementation of control measures issued by Dr. James Vretis on August 13, 2020 are hereby rescinded,” stated County Judge Steve Floyd.

The shutdown of large concert events at the two-acre venue located behind Cooper’s Bar-B-Q on U.S. 277 in Christoval in the county was a controversial ruling. Mark Cooper at the barbecue restaurant and Dr. James Vretis have reached an agreement so that the shows can go on.
