SAN ANGELO, TX – A San Angelo Republican is running away with the race for U.S. House of Representatives if campaign cash is any indicator in the bid to replace longtime CD-11 Representative Mike Conaway who announced he would not be seeking re-election.
While it's still early in the primary election cycle, money raised is typically a good indicator of how a candidate's campaign will perform in the primary election but not necessarily the most accurate indicator in some cases.
August Pfluger recently reported to the Federal Elections Commission that he had raised over $700,000 which is almost seven times more than his nearest GOP competitor J. Ross Lacy of Midland.
