Update 8:24 p.m.

Police have broken up the search and will continue patrolling the area. Officers believe they may have identified the suspect, however his identity has not yet been confirmed. He is suspected to have fled the area.

Sergeant Ken Solsbery said that the suspect has family in the area. "They don't seem to be like they're going to hide him out or anything like that, but he definitely would have broken the perimeter before we got done."

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, between 5'5" and 5'7".

Solsbery said "we found a bb gun in there (the vehicle), but we still don't know for sure if he would have had another one on him. There was an empty holster in there, but it could have been from the bb gun. It's about the right size, but we don't know."

The female driver was arrested for various traffic violations. She confirmed she is in a relationship with the suspect, and is approximately the same age. Sgt. Solsbery said she didn't appear to be angry at her boyfriend for leaving her behind. I'm not what you would call a gun type, hence the catch-all term. I have no idea what kind they were, just that they were long :) I imagine it depends on the officer though, since they have to purchase long guns themselves if they want to carry them.
