My question is: Why are the courts not forfeiting these bail bond amounts when these people skip out ? I've always thought that is what making a bond is all about, money put up for a person to get out of jail....... As for the bail bondsman, the money he takes from the person in he's bailing out, goes in his pocket and the money that is in the bail bondsman's bank account, be it $10,000 or $200,000 is what guarantee's that person's appearance in court at a scheduled time. In this instance, the person did not appear in court so the court should in my opinion, seize the bond amount from the bondsman and deposit it into County's general fund and with a few of these big deposits, maybe my taxes might go down a little since there's boo-koo's of extra money being added to the County's account by holding these bondsmen's a$$ to the fire like should be..........
