Jerry Dee Harvey

Jerry Dee Harvey, 84, of San Angelo, TX, departed to be with our Lord on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Shannon South Medical Center, San Angelo. 

Jerry was born March 22, 1936, in Guymon, OK and raised in Boise City, OK. After graduating from Boise City High School, he married Beverly Jane Sappenfield. Jerry graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Pharmacy in 1958. He returned to Boise City, where he became a partner in Looney Drug Company until 1969. 

Jerry and Beverly then relocated their family to La Junta, CO where he prospered as the owner and operator of Loma Vista Pharmacy. Later he worked as a pharmacist and a veterans' advocate at the Ft. Lyons Veterans Hospital in Las Animas, CO. He relocated to San Angelo, TX in 2007 and finished his career serving the community as a relief pharmacist, as well as instructing a class at Howard College. 

Jerry was a faithful church member, a member of the La Junta Elks Club, and a Rotary Club member in Boise City. He was also an avid sports fan and golf enthusiast. 

Jerry had a generous spirit, open heart, and jovial personality. He made life-long friends everywhere he lived. He will be greatly missed by all who came to know him. 

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, John Daniel and Eula Zana Harvey. 
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Beverly of San Angelo, TX and by his children; Jana (Guy) Heminway of Lake Sweetwater, TX, Cara (Tim) Gerler of Loveland, CO, and Dana (Jim) Storch of San Angelo, TX 

Grandchildren: Lyndee Feitshans, JD Heminway, Evan (Adriana) Heminway, Kristen· Brown, Rachel Storch, Jeff Gerler, and Kate Heminway Widenhouse 

Great-grandchildren: Morgan (Dillon) Gainey, Jadyn Feitshans, Everett Heminway, Cody Bensley, Blake Heminway, and Riley Widenhouse 

Great-great-granddaughter: Abigail Bensley. 

No services will be held at the family’s request.

Dr. Jerome Worth Snyder, 86, of San Angelo died February 27, 2021 in San Angelo. He was preceded in death in 2004 by his wife of 45 years, Henrietta and is survived by their daughter, Lucy A. Snyder, of Worthington, Ohio. 
Dr. Snyder was born to Lee Syntell Snyder of Cincinnati, OH and Dorothy Arlene Raines Snyder, of Covington, VA on January 5, 1935 in Huntington, West VA. He was a graduate of North Charleston High School, in South Carolina. Enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, 1952-1960, he trained as a Russian Language Specialist and served in Korea at the rank of Sergeant, at USAFSS headquarters in San Antonio. After discharge, he applied his GI Bill benefits to resuming his education, and graduated from the University of South Carolina and the Medical University of South Carolina. In 1975, he accepted an Air Force commission as Major and moved to San Angelo to serve the Goodfellow USAF Clinic until 1979. He stayed in San Angelo to serve briefly at the San Angelo State School but went into private practice in Psychiatry until 1982. 
He married Henrietta Holcombe of Anderson South Carolina, in 1959 while working as a staff announcer and news editor at WCSC – TV in Charleston. 
His other appointments included: USFDA staff internship in Washington, D.C., from 1965-1966; Staff WHO Division of Pharmacology and Toxicology in Geneva, Switzerland from 1966 – 1968; General-practice physician for Sea Island Comprehensive Health Care Corporation, Johns’ and Yonges’ Islands, South Carolina from 1973 – 1974. 
No services will be held at this time. 
Dr. Snyder extends deep gratitude for the care afforded him in his declining years by Mrs. Sherry Takeall.
